Default My first "edited" video... (ice racing)

Here's a neat little video of one of my runs (run #4, I think) at the BMWCCA ice race this weekend. The music is the same as what was actually playing in the car (ask Korey. )

http://www.strange.net/ice-race.avi

It requires DivX (http://www.divx.com) to play.

I was hopin to check out your video clip there, but I think its like 30MB.... WAY too huge for us dial-up modem people. I'm into video editting (among other things) also, but have never really had too many opportunities to mess around with stuff like that. Seems like without an 'idea' or 'reason' to mess around with the s/w, I can never really concentrate on it for more than a little bit before I get bored.
So like what s/w and h/w ya got?

Thumbs up

Great video, man! I'm only guessing that you intended to spin at the end for theatrical material.

Default DIVX playa

If you get a funky message - the location is not set right...
You need to get the latest playa - decoder - codec at:
www.divx.com

Very cool Andrew.

Nice video Andrew. Good to see that you learned something at Team O'Neil.

Thank goodness there were no snow banks!

Cheers!

Thanks for all the good words, folks... I'm glad I spent a little time cleaning up the video to make it all presentable and whatnot.

Y'all just wait... I'm going to turn into a Premiere geek before you know it.

Emilio -- it was great meeting you too!

David -- Yeah... it's amazing how much I really picked up, and taking some time on the practice course on Saturday really helped out. I'm still amazed at how well Brian did, though, narrowly keeping me from the win.

Nice video!
It was a little dark though.
Do you guys run on stock tires or snow tires?

Yes, the video was dark, but that gave some contrast, otherwise everything was just washed out and white.

I was on Dunlop SP 5000 all-season tires, some people raced on RE92s, some had snow tires. One guy showed up in a v3 STi conversion wagon with studded snows.
