ups or fedex. try to find some boxes at local rim shops, they should have extra rim boxes that they discard. if you cant find any go to storage places, they have boxes big enough. usually u can fit 2 rims per box.

It's may be cheaper to ship just one a box though, two in a box may trigger an extra heavy cost.

is there any shipping carriers that will wrap and ship the wheels, I have seen boxes, for the rims, but don't think they will fit the tires / wheels

Make it a local sale. THat's the best way to go. Have the buyer pick them up

I shipped 2x stock 16" RS rims (16.5lbs each) to CT from here, Fedex Ground, and it only cost me $32 for the two of them. I had them in a 20" x 20" x 22" box with a whole bunch of used styrafoam and cardboard for padding

i doubt shipping them in one box would be cheaper. the box will be heavier and bigger, plus they have limits as to the size of the box that you can ship. and good luck finding a box big enough to fit all 4 rims in.

when my new rims were shipped to me they were strapped together 2 each....and between the two wheels a piece of cardboard with boublewrap on both sides....they did the same for the outside surfaces of the wheel....and then wrapped it in plastic wrap....no damage during shipping and the package was easy to roll so i didn't have to carry it....

I just sent 4 wheel/tires to Florida. I bought bubblewrap and tape from office depot and used a bunch of cardboard I had laying around. It was about 1 roll of tape per wheel and I wrapped the wheel about 4 times in the bubblewrap before taping the cardboard around it. It cost me at 46lbs per box, $120 for all 4. It would be cheaper to box 2 at once but I didnt have the boxes that could hold them properly. All my work help up though, I got an email from the guy I sent them to and he said it took him quite awhile to get them unwrapped and they were all undamaged.
