Default Safe to run 8mm spacers on factory lugs?

Is it safe to run 8mm spacers on the factory lugs? I know people are doing it, I want to know if its safe.

imo.....nope, spend 100 bucks on some arp studs and impact them on. Much safer, I havent broke one yet.
