Talking Good Dealer In The Bay Area

First I would like to start off by saying that Stevens Creek Subaru has had their issues in the past. From guys complaining on the board about how bad the dealership is and how they got raped on their purchase or warranty. I had a good experience at Stevens Creek Subaru today.

My friend gave me a spare 02 WRX sedan rear sway bar he had laying at the garage to install on my 01 2.5 rs. Not wanting to hone out the bushings to fit the 02 WRX sway I decided to give Stevens Creek Subaru one more try because they close by my house. Now I can not speak for the entire dealership but I can speak for the parts department THEY HAVE CHANGED. Ryan Cavalier who is the new parts manager who I have previously been introduced to at a Subaru meet was very helpful. When I pulled in to the dealership I was expecting to get mobbed by sales men to try to get me to trade my 01 2.5rs for an 08 STI. Nothing of that nature happened today. I thought to myself this is kind of weird. When I came in to the parts department Ryan had one of his parts guys check the width of the rear sway because the sedan version happened to be 20mm and the wagon is smaller. Finding out that it was 20mm it was placed on order and should be coming in on Friday. So everyone if you think Stevens Creek is bad THINK AGAIN and give them one more try you will not regret it.

Good to hear.

I'm WAAAAY east bay (Modesto) and had a great purchasing experience at the dealer down in Turlock.

I was in the market for a new ride as I was tired of my truck (Diesel F250). I drove the Toyota FJ, Mazda CX7 and made multiple stops at the Volvo dealer who never seemed to have time for me. (I guess I don't fit their preppy-a55 image). One day I wandered down to the Subie dealer in Turlock and met Jay, a sales guy there. I drove a couple different Outbacks, slept on it and came back that weekend and bought. It was a good experience all around.

I had a horrible experience with steven's creek subaru both when I walked in to the showroom and trying to talk to the internet fleet manager a couple months back. This was even before I searched around and found so many bad reviews of the place.

Anyway I ended up getting my sti from carlsen subaru in redwood city at a good price under invoice with no hassle at all

Arcenik, you are very wise to put your faith in Ryan. He's in there to change the place, and I'll vouch for him anywhere anytime. His experience, passion and enthusiasm for the Subaru community has deep roots, beginning in Southern California at Irvine Subaru.

A new day has come for Stevens Creek Subaru in the parts department, and if Ryan is telling us the same is happening in the service department, then it must be true.

I trusted Ryan when I first met him without knowing that he was the new parts manager at Stevens Creek Subaru. Well spoke and easy to talk to. I was kind of exited when I learned that he was going to take over Stevens Creek and wanted to pay them a visit.
