quick run down on my car
01 rs 04 sti swap ( don't know the miles, but it should be low) pe1818 FAL slim fans Koyo legacy rad (53mm i think) Okm, heres the story. the car is only driven on the weekends, so i tooked it out, for about 2 hours, boosting here and there nothing crazy. I get back to let the car cool down, once it sat ther for about 5 mins, i notice the temp gauge was almost to H, i went ahead and turned it off and let it cool down. Once it cool down a bit, i check the coolant, it wasn't that low, but i topped it off anyway. i started the car, and for a couple of mins later, the samething. So i went ahead and turned it off. What i also notice at that time that the Fans only click on for a second, and turn off when the engine was on. So i check all the fuse and relays, they are fine. once i started it back up, the idle started to flutter. I was told i just need to unplug the ecu and plug back after it resets itself. after unplugging it, i left it there for about a week. i plug back the ecu, i also check the coolant again, this time it was somewhat low, but still some left in the resvior, so i topped it off again. I started the car, fluttering was gone, waited for it to get to normal temp. I held it at 3krpm and turn on the heat, for about 10 mins, the temp stay at normal, i notice the fan did the samething, click on and then off. but it never pass the normal temp I also check if there was coolant in the oil, there was none now i am thinking, thermostat, or thermoswitch anyideas... whats the next step?

gotta be something wrong with the fans... they should be running not clicking on
they might not be wired correctly try plugging the check mode connectors together and see if the fans cycle on and off like they should |
