Default Mid August means that Ski/Snowboard season is only 3 months away.

And to celebrate I'm totally watching "Hot Dog the Movie," "Aspen Extreme," and "Warren Miller's Snow Riders" on DVD until I collapse tonight.

How many of you have an actual copy of "Hot Dog" on DVD?

Anyways, I'm on this mission, a mission that came from my spending the last 5 days in the eastern Sierra, and I'm going to watch the greatest snow footage that the early 80's/90's had to give.

"Ja, Chinese Downhill, is the only way."

"And now for rhe rules for the international Chinese Downhill....there are none."

And if you don't know what I refer to here....you are either 12 or not a mountaineer.

Yeah. I know. I've been working on preparing the marketing for the winter season for the last 2 months. People say, "You work for a ski resort? It must be nice getting the summer off." Doesn't happen.

I'm watching Hot Dog right now actually and I have 8 pairs of skis and 4 pairs of shiny new bindings staring me in the face.

The both of you just earned 122 Iggpoints.

I know Igg would approve.

Cause he's cool like that.

This is me, completely stoked about my first winter with actual vacation / free time to my name living on the West side of the US.

$20 says I break something. $50 says that it was worth it

Hell ya! Can't wait. Last season was so damn good. This year I'm on a different side of the world, but hopefully can get in some good days. Have a week in Hokkaido booked for the end of Feb.

Mid August means good snow is only 18-36 months away....

<---- East coast sucks for snow sports.

I ski. But rarely do I have time or money to get up the hill.

IMNTBHO the title should read. "Mid August means decision time on wether to spend money on a new kart chassis or not is 3 weeks away."

Oh yeah. I have rock-skis at the ready for the season opener and a set of "new" mid-fats for the rest of the year. Maybe I should get myself some real powder planks this year but I'm afraid that if I do I'll jinx myself and not get the flex time for mid-week play. Oh, the head plants, the tumbles and the full on yard sale, I can't wait.

I freaking love Hot Dog! Aspen Extreme is another gold mine of 80s ski movie awesomess. Can't wait to get up to Mammoth and Tahoe this year and hopefully make it back to Whistler...

Now I just need to get a proform and pick up my

That's what you get for living in the NE.

Remember Tahoe, Cooper?

I'm going to ski Squaw at open, I think.

And squad, good show.
