This thread on iwsti is full of fail and noob. Like that Law guy blaming Junior's tune although he admitted it was his fuel rails in the end.

So what's you're rebuttal for me?

Junior took all of 1/2 hour to do (lug curve ONLY) tuning. My LTFTs (after tuning) were more volatile than my STFTs BEFORE tuning.

Anyway, I don't care what you do. Blow your car up if you want to. Don't expect P&L or junior to even say so much as "sorry" when it happens.

The idea that we don't at the very least empathize with a customer who has an engine failure couldn't be further from the truth. I have myself had a ringland failure on my own STI years and years ago however the only person I blamed was myself, for trying to eek out as much hp as possible on e85.

Your car made 350 whp and 430 wtq on e85, with the stock intercooler, turbo, and cat back. Not exactly a recommended set up, but we're obligated to tune whatever set up the customer thinks is best.

You seemed to be rather happy with the car after it was completed:

But a month later and hundreds of miles driven on the car, and it's the tune that was bad. Certainly nothing to do with the fact that the stock ej25 blocks have weak pistons, and that literally thousands of other people have had the exact same failure.

To give a more technical response to your fuel trim "issue", you mentioned in a private message that you saw +/- 5. As Junior explained to you, the stock mapping allows for up to +/- 25(!) while still being within spec.

The bottom line is that instead of bad mouthing Junior and our shop any chance you get, you should perhaps take some personal responsibility for your decision to add over 100 whp and 190 wtq to a stock engine Subaru. So while you have my empathy for your engines untimely demise, we've done nothing that warrants an apology.

Is that a coincidence that these people usually can't spell most basic words in english? Don't think so...

My point is that it's usually some bogus opinion with no merit from some no-name on forums. What does that even mean that your fuel trims were volatile? For all I know you could be talking about them changing between -5%-5% which is completely normal.

Edit : PnL posted while I was writing. Fuel trims comment lol...

I can post up your PM again about your "volatile" fuel trims on e85 that were +/- 5
You don't know what you are talking about but you continue to post up BS like this. 1/2 Hour? First it was 1hr then I only did 3 pulls ect ect.. I'm sorry that I have a pretty extensive library of basemaps from the 30+ cars I tune every month to start with. I'm sorry I did not sit there and do 2-3hours beating on your basic stg 2+ header car that I have tuned 10000000000 times before. I'm sorry I did not sit and learn to tune on your vehicle for 2-3 hours like some of the other "tuners" will... and you think your getting a "better quality" tune because it took so long. Next time take it to someone who will razzle dazzle you with a 3 hour stg2 tune while they practice or learn to tune on your 35K car. Then you can leave feeling like you got your moneys worth.

Oh and why would I apologize when right after you DIRECTLY BLAME ME for your 2013 cracking a ring-land like the countless other ones. Give me a break, your the typical newb that takes 0 accountability for anything. Does it suck your car broke? Absolutely.. Would I be way more sympathetic and willing to help you if you didn't start accusing me? Yes... the answer is YES I would have. Like I told you in an email, attacking me and being a dick will net you the same exact behavior in return.

Anyway... with all that aside, take in everyone's experiences and use them to help you make a decision on which one you choose. I will first post a list of the most reputable in the area. Start there.

Junior - P&L - I personally do not have experience with Jr, but he is by far the most experienced in the area. With that being said, youre bound to find more people that have had both good and bad experiences. I know a lot of people that swear by his work and it sounds like he knows more than most have forgotten in a lifetime

Gangster - 6 Star. I've personally had two tunes from him, one was on a stock motor that I spun a bearing on a couple months later. Nothing Gangster did, just an old motor on a car with 4 plus owners and who knows how many tunes. Afterwards, I had 6 star build a motor and he re-tuned it for free because he was sympathetic that I just dropped a ton of money and I wasnt able to enjoy the first tune. The tune was great, zero issues. Not that it matters, but just so you are aware, Gangster has a real job, lol. This means he is booked far in advance so call at least a month before to check his availability.

Maciek - APM. Maciek did my most recent tune after my six speed swap and the car really responded. Probably the least known of the top local tuners but his work is solid and his schedule seems to be the most flexible.

Mikey Botti - PhatBotti Tuning. Im not positive on the company name but Mikey usually flies in a couple times a year and is one of the most reputable in the country. I plan on using him after my next batch of mods.

Im sure there's more out there but these guys are in my opinion the most reputable and well known in the area. Whoever you pick, have your REALISTIC power goals in mind. Share them with your tuner and they can help you get there. Most importantly, make sure your car is in good working order when you go for your tune. If you go to one of the guys at a shop, bring in your car a couple days early and ask them to go through the car. The couple hours spent on a pre-tune inspection is money well spent.

No problem. If you are interested in using Mikey I know Ian (Subian) is working on getting him back. Otherwise, youre in good hands with these guys. Let me know who you go with and your results.

Mark at APM got the call and he did fantastic work too!

Have you or the previous owner, Jeff, contacted us about it? I spoke to Paul here at P&L who had been working with Jeff who said that the last we heard from him, he would let us know how he wanted to proceed with fixing it. That was over a year ago that we heard anything from him.

We told Jeff that we would either pay for the bumper repair or an exhaust shield which he agreed was acceptable, but then never let us know which direction he wanted to go.

Feel free to call in, email, or PM me to move forward.

I personally dont have p&l o.s tune but I wouldn't go any other route. Been playing with my wrx since 04 and I know p&l has a great reputation. I purchased a pillar pod they either sourced or made in house back in 04/06
