Is this a shadow of things to come for all northeast Ohio gas stations? Will 91 octane become the new standard premium gasoline (like places out west)? Or is this just a localized occurrence? Not that my WRX is tuned, but the thought of having to regularly fill it up with anything less than 93 octane doesn't sit well with me at the moment.

I noticed it too. 10 cents a gallon for 2 octane

^ I hope 93's not going away..... I'm on a 93-octane map, one that's pretty sensitive to fuel quality, too......

Ya, I was implying my koni/ground control full setup! But if he already has it, nevermind!

COLUMBUS -- The state has renewed the unpopular E-check vehicle emissions testing program in northeast Ohio for two more years.

Spokeswoman Heidi Griesmer with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency says state officials on Thursday approved an $11.55 million per year contract to continue E-check tests through June of 2011.

Motorists in the Cleveland and Akron areas are required to take their vehicles in every other year for the testing, which the state pays for.

Griesmer says officials had hoped new U.S. EPA air pollution standards would allow the state to replace E-check with something else. But the federal government still hasn't determined whether the region meets the revised guidelines.

I just got my 2005 WRX E-checked on Thursday. Passed no problem. It was even running a stage 2 map (didn't have to reflash the stock map) and I went from the stock 3 cats down to the one high-flow Cobb cat. It's such a PITA to get it done, though. And I'm always paranoid that they aren't going to realize that it's AWD and try and throw it up on the dyno... oh well.

Anyone have a stock 2005 STi axleback/muffler they'd like to sell me? Trying to quiet the exhaust on my 2004 WRX wagon.

***cancel: got one! Hopefully quieter than even the prodrive oval i have***

Hey guys! This is Ryan Radio from Mansfield, OH.

I'm working on getting Al Friedman (dynoflash) to Buschur Racing at the end of September to get some tuning done. If anyone is wanting to get a professional tune from Al, please let me know soon! He told me that it was *cheap* for the tune and that included the dyno time! Its a great deal! Looks like I have a couple so far, but I would like a couple more to make it worth his time (he's from CT!)

You can PM me or email me at rradio@gmail.com if you are interested in getting tuned.....or hell, just showing up and supporting everyone Should be a blast!

Thanks for reading!

*edit* Not allowed to discuss pricing, so email me for any and all questions

now the mustang wasn't bad at all, i loved and i'm going to miss it in the winter. Technically the only time i could get away with drifting it It was also pretty quick for being stock. At mid-ohio during a nasa track day event I had no problem keeping up with the porsches Now that i'm in the sti i should have a problem passing them and leaving them

It's a blue 06 STI with an S204 wing...kind of. From what i can tell it is completely stock except for the shift nob. For now all i plan to do to it is intake, exhaust, and a tune. Next year if my business is doing well i'll get some coil overs and rims/tires. I'd like to turn it into a stu class car if possible. I'll try to upload some pics later.

Anyone here have a regular [Subaru] mechanic that they use that isn't the dealer? I am interested in finding someone (the closer to Cleveland Heights or Euclid, the better) to check it out every once in a while. I'm not really a fan of dealerships, but I want to make sure I'm not neglecting any importance maintenance items. TIA.

I've seen that place in passing many times. And its only 1.5 miles from the house. Thanks for the recommendation. I think I'll drop in sometime in the next week. I'll tell him you sent me.

Thanks again!
