By the looks of it I would say I am just lazy and having a hard time finding out the best place on that site. Thanks for advice tho

For events try the 'Forced 4s Events' tab. There you'll find all you need to find

Did you check to make sure it didn't go into your spam filter/folder? The emails should not be delayed, by much, if at all.

Email me cdbalazs at yahoo if you can't find the registration email in your spam filter/folder.

Edit: Just checked the mail logs and it looks like AOL is deferring the emails. I'm working on getting whitelisted with AOL, in the meantime contact me at cdbalazs at Yahoo if you'd like to sign up under another email address.

Damn, my AOl e-mail address is my only one. AOL really does suck.

I've filled out AOL's forms for mailserver whitelisting, but I don't know how long it will take or if they'll notify me of any changes.

You can always just sign up for a free Yahoo or Gmail account too...

UPDATE - Just got this from AOL

Quote:
Your Whitelist request, with the confirmation code XXXXXXXX-XXXXX,
has been approved. This should become effective within 24 hours.

Whitelisting protects your IP from many of AOL’s spam filters, but is not a guarantee of delivery. Whitelisting does not affect the routing of email to users’ inboxes. Mail from whitelisted IPs can be delivered to either the inbox or the spam folder.
T Wrex - If you can wait a day or so, then try to register again we'll see if it works this time. I'm going to delete the account you created but never got the email for so when you sign up again just use the same info as before.

Please email me at cdbalazs at Yahoo dot com or PM me here for further assistance with your LERSOC registration.

Default Newb ?

Since I have never been apart of a car group, and never been to a meet. What are the unwritten rules (yes I know if I ask this and then someone mentions them they will not be unwritten anymore) I really just don't know how it works. Do I just show up at the meet? I want to get out to the QS&L meets on Thursday so I can start to meet locals, but really unsure how to get started. I know I need to just sack up and go, but I just like to know what to do before I go.

Thanks guys

There are different kinds of meets really. There are big ones that are planned well in advance and there are smaller sort of impromptu meets that usually happen sort of on-the-fly. With LERSOC specifically, if you want to meet some people, you just post up on the board, pick a place and time, and let people know you want to meet up and see who else can/will. Then we typically have a couple big meets a year that involve more planning and activity.

I know the QS&L meets are pretty regular so you just show up and see who you find there.

^ Forced4s is moving their Thursday QS&L meets to Weds., at The Boneyard, on Mayfield. I *think* the "start time" for each meet is at 7PM.

----

Deli_b, I've been a member of many Subaru (and before that, DSM) communities - as well as other on-line hobbyist communities.

In the past, I've always been a pretty active "live" member, too, but since I came to Subarus, with the not-entirely-coincidental (we wanted to get cars that were safe and could easily handle NE-Ohio winters) arrival of Anna, my now 3-year-old, I truly have become a near-total "keyboard warrior" only.

I've still managed to meet some LERSOCers and Forced4 members, as well as some from the LegacyGT.com community and NASIOC, in the past 4 or 5 years, but it's truly only been on rare occasions. Yet, I don't really feel "left-out" at all - the support really is there, even if you're an on-line entity, only.

Sign up at Forced4s.com... I explain more later in this post! Also, if you are experiencing problems with forced4s as far as navigation, let me know and I will look into changing stuff around. It isn`t common that new people tell me negatives. Usually just positives and the military in me can handle negatives well.

I haven`t heard anything about LERSOC in a LONGGGG time.
The QS&L meets (Forced4s) are beyond pretty regular, they are consistant to the day/time/place.

This man has the right answer! Sign up at forced4s.com (My name is Paul AKA Praul (GR8R REX on forced4s) I am the admin so let me know your name and once you sign up and I`ll get you approved right away). Meets are still on Thursdays up until 23 OCT 2009 which we will then switch to Wednesdays for the rest of this year and all of next. We basically were getting screwed at QS&L in Valley View and the new place The Boneyard in Mayfield Hts was giving us a pretty good offer and expressed a lot of interested with what we were doing.
You got any questions, throw them my way.

Anyone eastbound on I-80, on Friday morning?

Silver/gray STI.

I was getting gas for the wifey's silver '09 Forester XT (distinguishable from the rear by a "turbosnail" chrome gel-vinyl, below the "XT" lettering). I had to turn the car around to sit at the filling station's island, as the gentleman in the Ram 2500 towing a trailer needed Premium gas, which was not available on his pump, so he asked me to pull up....I tried getting out of the car to wave to you, but by that time, you were already screaming up the on-ramp.

LERSOC has a meet coming up TOMORROW, Sat 14th:
http://www.lersoc.com/forums/showthr...=1085#post1085

11AM
Big Creek Parkway, Fern Hill Picnic Area in the Parma/Brookpark area. Easiest access from I-480/Tiedeman Rd. exit.
Head south on Tiedeman Rd to Brookpark Rd, then go left at Brookpark. Big Creek Parkway is on the right at the light, and the entrance to the Fern Hill Picnic area is just a couple hundred feet up on the right.

For GPS/Mapping, there is a Walmart directly across the street from the parkway entrance. You can use Walmart's address as a mapping point to get you there:

10000 Brookpark Road
Brooklyn, OH 44130

If you are coming, please post your intent on the LERSOC site so Chuck/Bolosh can ensure there's food etc.
