Haven't found that rattle yet josh? Another method I used to locate it was to drive without the center console and shift boot on, so I could grab parts of the shifter when it rattled to see if I could find it.

Default Rattle?

No rattle so far, but I only tested it for 5 miles or so on normal roads and highways. I just took everything apart again to make sure my torque was correct.

Did you accidentally break any clips?

Yea that's what I was going to do tomorrow. Hopefully I don't slice my finger doing this. I have a feeling it is the shift linkage rattling against that metal frame that surrounds the hole of the shifter area. What concerns me is that the rattle is not consistent giving me false theories of what it is. It will sound louder one day than the other or briefly disappear for a ride. Odd.

That's something else I was considering. When I installed the shifter, I didn't know to not assemble everything together. So, I basically forced the bushings into place by bullying the shifter support rod out of the way. May have cause some unforeseen damage. Eeeeekkkkk. I will find out tomorrow.

My rattle was only semi-consistent as well. I got it only in certain gears, at certain rpm's during acceleration. Try and retorque as much if the assembly as you can.

I don't know if there's really anything you could have broken under there, but I guess that's worth considering as well. I just don't know how different your assembly is compared to mine.

One thing I noticed when I was installing mine was when I shifted to 3rd gear with the sound proofing piece off, I intermittently heard squeaking from the little rubbery protruding thing right in front of the shifter in 3rd gear. Seemed like the linkage would rub on it.

I notice my shifter lightly vibrates a good amount while driving, so I would only add that as another place to look.

Does it sound louder during colder weather, and stop after you have been driving a while?

That metal frame surrounding the shifter causes rattles as well from the reading I have done, and on GD's, people would spin that piece around 180 (so front is in the rear) to gain clearance and lose the rattle. I thought that was my problem at first, but after removing that price altogether and getting the rattle while driving, I eliminated it as a possibility.

This whole rattle thing is probably detracting from the awesomeness of the new shifter, but I promise it will be worth it when you solve it.

Which tunes are you trying to put on it? You have to add tunes through the accessport manager software

I am not yet, trans installed twice this Saturday because i am really having a problem with my throwout bearing, when the clutch pedal is pressed and comes off the snap ring, and i have to uninstall the damn tranny and presssure plate once again.I never had this problem after 3 sucessfull clutch jobs,i really thinkin of tack welding it in so it does not pop off once again til the clutch is worn.Any other ideas? As this stuff is brand new.

Found out that the rear bushing was not installed properly. I assumed that the bolts for the rear bushing would just thread properly back into their respective holes. Nope. The passenger side bolt cross threaded and what seemed to be fully tightened was only half way threaded. Fml. Well I did my best to fix the cross threading, but the big success is no more rattle. Whew.

I did have a squeak caused by the linkage boot. Lithium grease fixed that.

My shoulders and neck feel fantastic. I can't believe how much that bolt was not threaded in. Shifting is more fun without the worry of something falling apart. The flaps have also been installed and they look awesome.
