I have a long night at work tonight, but there's a chance I might go. I'll keep you in the loop Erik. Lemme know if anybody plans to meet up or anything.

If I go, that works for me. I'm assuming you mean Richfield commons, 6pm?

Glad to hear it went well Rob. That's definitely a time consuming job but also high on the satisfaction scale in my book.

Hi Guys. New to the forum. Glad to have found this resource.

Can any fellow Subaru owners in the Cleveland area recommend any Subie friendly mechanic shops? Not necessarily speed or tune shops. Just regular run of the mill mechanic for repairs/maintenance.

Welcome. I'm from a ways down south, so I can't recommend shops, but if I may ask, what do you need done to your car?

I might need a CV replaced soon. But I'm not quite sure the dealers up here are the most cost effective option.

This was more of a general curiousity of Subie friendly mechanics in the area. Hoping owners here had some good experiences with some.

lateral links are off of my car! if anyone ever has stuck lateral link bolts, save yourself the time and effort and source a new bolt and use a powerful air hammer!

so much easier than all the othe ways

Werd.

I concur 10000%. However... If you coat those guys in moly, then torque to spec... Then paint moly into the long bolt window with your flux brush, you never need to worry about it again.,

yes anti-sieze will be applied when i reassemble. the driver side that i had i had apart when i re built the car came apart no problem(anti sieze used), but the passenger side had never been apart(70k) . i also used the anti sieze on the front subframe bolts and ball joint pinch bolts

Maddad midpipe has been installed and coated, and I've bought and installed RCE black springs.

The black moly anti seize is used everywhere..

I've found that it's the best thing between bushing sleeves and the through bolts.

If possible... Lower the car, so it's supporting it's own weight, then re-torque all those bolts.

Torque specs, for quick reference..
Trailing mounts. 74
Trailing front. 85
Trailing rear. 66

Lat links:
Long bolt: 103
Inside (both cam, and straight). 74

Inspect the cam washers, if the straight edges are pinched, or rounded, replace them.
They're cheap... Under $2 each... And I always stock all those rear brs as spare anyway, if any of you find yourself in a bind..

Hey fellers..

car is ready for it's corner balance... and alignment... EFFING FINALLY

so yeah.. do any of you have an STi spare tire I can buy or Borrow..????

I really prefer to do all the adjustments and torques using the narrowest wheels possible.. yet I don't want to drive back to Indiana.. to raid my storage unit..
