Question Guaging Interest- Next LI Meet?

Since everyone had a great time at the last one, why not do it again? Maybe we can shoot to have a meet last week in March/First week in April. Since the weather is getting nicer, maybe a day meet on the weekend BBQ style or something of the nature could be on tap. If you are interested, post up, and give an idea of where and when. Hopefully we can get some people who weren't able to show up at the last one.

Mid-week supper meets are best for me. I have to much fun stuff planned for the weekends, not that Subie meets are fun but autocross and motocross take priority.

You know I'm there as long as it works with my schedule. Right now most Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday nights are good for me.

if every body chips in I'll hook it up!

Yeah I was the fool trying to get that southhaven park meet going last summer but..... it rained.

I get steak for cheap!

Mmmmm... steak... *drool*

It sounds like everyone is pretty much up for this... What if we set a tenative meet as follows:

Date: April 6 or 7(rain date)
Time: 2pm
Place: Eisenhower State Park

(I'm not sure if they have BBQ's there, but I'm pretty sure) If not, does anyone have a couple of portables? We can make a collection for the meats (hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks(?), and have everyone bring something else (chips, soda, beer, plates, etc..)

If we get all the cash collected for the meats, say by March 31st, we should be in good shape.

Rick- How would you want everyone to chip in for the meats? And how much per person?

Invite friends along too!!

Well I'm not a butcher cough..cough(Willie)but....I'm willing to eat some of it(the cost)...well the meat too but I think I may have to take donations of about $2 each for who ever eats meat, chicken, pork, whatever.
If I made more money I wouldn't bother but I'm poor!

BBQ's are the *****.

Eisenhower does have BBQ's. If you want, I can scout out a suitable section and look into reserving it for us on whatever time and date you like (the park can get crowded on nice weekends).

JVG- that sounds great. We'll shoot for April 6th (rain date April 7th) at 2pm

I'll start a new thread so it's official.

In East Meadow about 5 min. from Hooters.
Meadowbrook to Stewart Av. exit, left at the light, about 1/4 mile and Stewart Av. ends at the park entrance, drive right in.
