Default Another Exhaust thread, sorry:Building a custom performance exhaust?

When building a full exhaust system on a budget what parts are best?

I am looking at getting an OBX header off of e-bay. They seem to have one O2 sensor bung. So I am guessing that you only need one bung on your high-flow catalytic converter and that this should be placed on the back end of the exhaust flow (distal from the engine). Are cats directional?

Here is a list of parts that I am looking at purchasing. What do you guys recommend for a cat and is that muffler acceptable.

Am I missing anything other then the labor to have a shop to fab up the rest of the pipe in 2.25?

Thanks guys,

Adam

Have a look at the 59955 cat. Compact, low 300 cell count.

The exhaust shop should be able to weld in a bung anywhere you want.
