They have some poke....some new fender flares will take care of it though in the new year.

Noob question:
18 x 9.0 +35mm on stock 2011 STi hatch setup
need some negative camber (coilovers) to not roll fenders correct?

and tires...265 will work best?

You'll have to roll the fenders, even with camber.

the GRs have A LOT of fender that sticks into wheel well.

Even after you do the fender roll it'll depend on your suspension, tire choice and final camber settings to determine if you're rub free.

Soooo... why such a tall tire? Just because there is a 40 in 245/40/18 doesn't mean the 265/40 is the same height, it's actually 0.63 inches taller. Should have gone with a 35 profile on that one. But it looks meaty
