Its a wide tire but is slightly streched on that wheel, not what I would call meaty.

Ok, mine:

305/30/18 V710 on 18x10.5 TC105N

Front bumper flare piece missing cause +caster and 305/30 Gonna have to mod it somehow eventually.

And to tyflip2, I see no reason that a GD is not a "proper car" for wide wheels/tires... give me a break. If you can put the rubber to use and go faster, then do it.

Ahh you were who my dad was talking about. He was driving the blue old supra with cf hood at the tour. Did you make some lower front bumper pusher outer bars (yes, thats the technical term LOL) yet? That might give you the clearance that you're looking for.

^ lol! Was it the supra in SM? I think he was further down in grid lineup. although there were two supras, so I don't think I got a chance to introduce myself.

Also, I'm sure you recognize those... EXACT wheels in the picture?

Yes, one of the first things I had to do when I had my 275/35 RT615K's was make the "front bumper pusher outer bars" ... haha. I got that info from y'all over on the 'all sti all the time' forum. I might have to re-massage them to turn them into "front bumper even-more pusher outer bars"!

if you notice in the pic, we actually cut off about 2-3" of the front bumper itself just to make sure we had clearance. we ran into issues with it on our first event (a month earlier) with the V710s. we never had enough time to do a test fit with the front bumper on (had it off to get the car on the trailer to go out of town to the event), so we ended up hacking it off in grid right before our morning runs that day!

You could put a turnbuckle in the bumper pusher outer allowing you to keep pushing until you get enough clearance.

Mmm. Yes. I like this idea. Thanks!

Simple and effective.

I've got a drilled piece of C aluminum down there right now. It's bent slightly over time- probably from hitting too many cones ><

Haha yup he's 2 cars up in your pic. Honestly I don't remember where those wheels went, but now I do I miss those wheels! Very light for a 18x10.5. Yea maybe try pushing them out some more. The turnbuckle is a GREAT idea. Might do that myself instead of my aluminum rods. Adjustable would be fun haha
