What tires do you have. What suspension setup? any rubbing? camber? pulling on fenders?
I am buying a new set of rims on 18X8.5+41

Hey guys, I'll throw some answers up for Dave since it doesn't seem like he's been in this thread in awhile.

He is on Ohlins Fixed Perch struts with RCE Black Springs, GroupN Tops all around. I believe he only rolled his rear fenders, possibly the front too, but no pulling that I was aware of.

It's IAG's 08 STI, check it out in the Member's Gallery..shouldn't be too hard to find, was just up on the first page last week or so.

What is the point of having meaty and wide tires?

Better grip and handling?

Certainly. It serves much more function than have a 215 on a 9in rim, or running any stretched setup.

Ok thank you.
215 on a 9, wow... I thought my 215 on 7.5 was stretchy.

i feel like a stretched 225 on a 9" wheel handles better than a 225 on a stock wrx wheel.

thats just me though lol stretched tires arent ALWAYS a bad thing.

Do those count as meaty?

these were 225/55/16 on stock forester steel rims.

Always my favorite look

I bet the tires were not the same.

The way I see it, if stretched tires were better for performance, wouldn't time attack cars be running them?

its the v-limited lip with an extra piece on the bottom of it. got it off jdmparts.com it really helps protect the v-limited and doesn't look too shabby
