Default Just replaced cabin air filter!! Pics! UPDATED WITH INSTRUCTIONS!

Just replaced it! I don't know after how many miles.
It was nasty. Now air coming from vents smells better.
It cost me less than 15 bucks and 15 min of work.
I got my air filter from Ebay seller:
http://shop.ebay.com/aircabinman/m.h...&_trksid=p3686

Instructions:

Filter is located behind glove box.
Using philips head screwdriver take 10 screws out, and one plastic rivet on side. All circled on the pictures.

Glove box should come off easy, to make things easier disconnect glove box light wires, and then fan motor wires.

Next use small screwdriver to open filter cover, insert it in slot, and push up.
Filter will slide out.

That's how filter looks like after 8 months. Pretty clean.

I have an 05 RS and its behind the glove box... I found that I had to remove a few screws to get back there - fairly easy.

Got mine from ebay, from user aircabinman. Total cost was less than $15.

Filter is located behind glovebox. There are two screws under glove box, one plastic rivet on the side, facing door, and 7 screws inside glovebox.
When You take box out, You may want to unplug glovebox light, and put box aside.
Filter is on top of fan, behind rectangle filter box cover. Easy to locate.

Mine didn't.
It was an option, if you don't have one....just put one in. The slot and everything is there.

At first I tried to use those home AC filter too. I kinda gave up after I took out the original filter from the rex. It was filled with dirt which I doubt my DIY filter can get rid of. Then I ordered mine from the same ebay user. Car smells way better now when the AC's on.
