Default Swapping out lift gate on '95 Legacy wagon

Unfortunately, I need to replace the back window in my lift gate. For those that have swapped out a complete lift gate, how long did it take [~1-2 hours?] and did you run into any complications? As I recall, there is only one group of shrouded electrical wires [wiper, defog, lights?] to contend with, so, it shouldn't be too complicated, should it?

What I would like to know is, would it be worth swapping out the entire lift gate instead of replacing the glass panel. From inquiries to glass repair facilities, that [low demand] curved panel seems to be fairly expensive [~$700], putting the glass replacement service in the neighborhood of $800. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but, I think I could find a used lift gate for [$100-$200?].

Thanks for your assistance.

Yap, finding a Gate Would be easier, But if you want to keep the color as close as possible (fading and such) keeping your gate would be best.

I might reccomend getting someone to help you lift it off, This Should only take you 1 hour including uninstall and install
