Default RENNTech Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG with 548-hp

We became big time RENNtech fans when it decided to give the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 the amount of horsepower it should’ve had - 722. Today, RENNtech unlocks another Mercedes-Benz mystery. Last year, Mercedes-Benz surprised us all with its new 475-hp 6.3 liter V8 C 63 AMG. But what’s more surprising is that that same engine produces 507-hp or 518-hp in the E and S-Class models. What happened to all that extra horsepower?
Mercedes-Benz restricted the car says Hartmut Feyhl. Feyhl is the former technical director at AMG North America and now owns RENNtech. So naturally when RENNtech got around to tuning the C 63 AMG - it decided to unleash all that extra horsepower hiding under the hood.
With its high-performance ECU2 software, RENNtech was able to extract a total of 548-hp with a peak torque of 510 lb-ft. It’s no 730-hp Brabus Bullitt Black Arrow - but we’re sure it’ll get the job done.
