It's the one that the alternator is attached to it, right? Just unbolt the timing cover then take off the horizontal bolt holding the alt in place. If the belt is now loose enough, unbolt the alt and take it out. You should def be able to take the belt off if you do that. When you put everything back on. get the slack out of the belt by tightening the long vertical bolt on the alt. Tighten everything up and you should be good.

Learn it, live it, love it. It's a butt simple install.

And check the Maintenance FAQ in the Service Forum as I might have a direct install linked inside of there.

Just one edit to your post, it is the belt cover, not the timing cover. Other than that you have it right.

Just look around and see if there are any other bolts to undo that seem logical, I was able to do this without any instructions when I changed my power steering, didn't seem hard

haha so i broke a bolt, turns out the belt i really needed to replace was the power steering/alternator belt and i had ordered the a/c belt.
i drove to napa and got the ps belt, went to orchard to get a replacement bolt but couldnt find any correct length thread size and thickness. got one pretty damn close i thought id try so i bought that and 2 nuts to ghetto rig it together.

it didnt work. so i went back to osh and got a smaller bolt, some washers and nuts to ghetto-er rig it.

got everything on and by this time it was pitch black outside and i started the car and it sounded like tweety was in my engine bay, hella chirping. turns out my ac belt was rubbing on my alternator. fixed that and now its cool.

so tomorrow im going to take everything back apart and replace the ps and ac belt and i think ill take pictures along the way to help make a tutorial so someone doesnt run into the same problem as me. thanks for all the help though!
