Lightbulb The "Post a Link to Your Favorite Thread YOU Started" thread

I coulda' swore a thread like this existed...but I can't find it in 15 minutes of searching. Link your fav thread that you started.

Include the title, for others readability.

And since I'm sure it'll be tough to keep this down to 1 thread...try to keep it to 3.

Long before there was the street-racer-kill-squad, there was the n00b regulation 101 class.

IIRC, it started the "bump your longest thread" thread, which was one of the few times OT was "closed", no?

1. Dress codes for the men? No Shorts, no hats, no t-shirts. I saw not one, but two guys with logos under their collars to be read when flipped up. I also saw two guys get kicked out for wearing hats.

2. Drinks? Oookkk, yeah, let's wait in line for 5 minutes for an overpriced beer while the barkeep spends more time worrying about the hat proliferation.

3. Dancing? The dancefloor was crowded with folks - standing and drinking. I also learned that when one wants to dance with you, they don't ask. They simply grind on your leg like a Golden Retreiver. How endearing.

4. Talking? "WHAT?!? WHAT?!?" was all I heard.

5. ID Checking? Yes, my license is real. You don't need to the FBI forensic investigation on it. Look at me. I'm older than everyone in this room. But, I applaud the effort.

6. Hit on me? If I don't respond to "where are you from?", it probably means either I didn't hear you because Gorillaz is pumping at 400 dB or I'm not interested. It doesn't signal you to grind on my left hip, ok?

So, in short, we paid money to stand in a crowded, extremely loud room, wait in line for beer, scream at each other and get humped on by some dude with his collar up.

Maybe if I was 10 years younger, it would be fun. It just seemed like the place to be to either 1) get laid or 2) get in a fight. It was fun for a few and an experience that I'll remember.

CN: Clubs are goofy.

Beach trip pics to follow.
