STI Shorkblock swap... Headgasket size?
I bought a sti shortblock and am planning on putting my 2.0 heads on and doing the whole hybrid thing. I was reccommended the 2.5L headgasket with 1.9mm thickness by gruppe-s. Is there any experienced engine builders out there that can comfirm or dent the size? All the internals (ie cams and such) are stock and its a brand new sti shortblock.

if you use the stock EJ257 gaskets you will have a compression ratio of about 8.9:1. if you use the 1.9mm gaskets you will have a compression ratio of about 8.0:1.
the stock SIT EJ257 ratio is about 9.23:1 stock WRX EJ205 is about 8.0:1. Note: this info is from Matt's ratio calc. -=Suberdave=- |
