That's ok you have been beating me from a roll since I have the tendency to get races with my E light on . Maybe One of these days I'll fill my tank up with some 114 leaded and I'll take you for a spin.

If this is the Scott I know with the Red SS, no one on this board can beat him in the 1/4. From what i heard last, if this is the same Scott, is that you ran a high 11 with that bad puppy. However, wrong or right, welcome to the board.

pila_jones -

Do I know you? What kinda car do you drive?

Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome. Just ordered my new clutch so I can actually power shift the thing. I figure I'm losing about .4 tenths and about 3 mph because of my clutch. But then again, that doesn't really matter since I'm totally changing the entire setup in May.

Yukon1 -

No, I don't. Sorry, but I would never be able to get it out of my neighborhood, . To slick where I live (Bayshore West) my Blazer has a hard enough time in 4x4 getting traction on my streets.

Laterz,

Scott

Bill,

Yup, It be me!

How you doing, I haven't seen your ass in forever, and I mean forever .

How's yer scooby doin'? Any mods on her?

Eddy told me all about the impression you left on him when you gave him a ride. I think the words, "I never knew a car could accelerate like that in a corner from a stop !"

You should come out on the 23rd to the akdsm.com meeting, I'd like to catch up with ya and see the scooby.

Yukon 1,

Sweet. I'll have some parts for sale in a bit. My new combo is gonna be :

Thunder Racing Solid Roller (7400 rpm shifts)
GTP S2 Heads w/ Solid set-up
Holley Intake Manifold, match ported and p&p'ed w/ direct port n2o
Forged Manely I-beam Rods
Forged JE Pistons
Balance and Blueprint
ARP Head Studs
Copper Head Gaskets
Ed Wright Reporgrammed Computer

That's the short version. Email me if you want the long one @
scott.konofalski@gci.net

I'm shoting for low 10's @ the upper 130's. I'd be real proud if I could crack 9's @ 140, but on the stock 10-bolt rear end I don't think it will happen. So, I'll have to wait till the last day at the track before I can shot for the 9's. By that time I'll be able to afford a 12-bolt.

Laterz,

Scott

Yukon1 why did you sell your wrx? I'm just curious. The SS is a great car. I've seen many stock ones run mid 13s. Do you like it better then the WRX?

Yukon 1 -

Sorry, i left out what I ran this year.

My best run is a 11.76 @ 121.xx

This was done on a malfunctioning clutch. It wsan't slipping, but it wouldn't grab if I power shifted it. So I figure I was loosing a few mph and about .4-.5 tenths off of my times. My traps alone suggest mid- 11's, the clutch/tanny on the other hand had different ideas.

Laterz,

Scott

didnt sell it for any real reason just had the chance too, I was concerned about the tranny holding up for the drag strip so i went with a car i know can take it. Well so far the WRX handles better in a snow storm but not by much

The WRX made consumer reports cover today, they recommend the WRX as a car too buy. Gave it a good review.
I do miss the car and all the attention from the ladies
See what happens when the STI comes out.
Chris glad your liking the car.

That, again, is I.

Where do you live? We'll have to go to lunch sometime. Dunno when my car will be ready for the streets, but we'll still have to do lunch.

Scott when I'll get a ride on your car I'm going to wear a comdom for my own protection . When's all the ice on your street going to melt? Maybe we can get one of these AWD cars to pull you out. J/K.. Later.
