Default Flossy Shop (merged thread)

Since i posted this on IWSTI, i would like to inform members here as well. Apparently there are a good handful of customers being in the same situation i was in.

My Post on IWSTI:

"I ordered my Elton on their site back when they were having their black friday sale. I thought it was a great deal and i heard a lot of good reviews about the quality and the feel of this knob. So after waiting about 1.5 to 2 weeks later, i receive the knob. It is a great knob, it looks good, felt amazing and definitely had a better shifting experience. Well, it turned out that this knob that was ordered didn't have the reverse cut out but only the neck. I wasn't quite happy because it raised the shifter a little which i wasn't used to. I emailed them, surprisingly they were really cool about it, they told me to send the shifter back in (out of my own expense) and they will ship out the one with the reverse cut out, after providing them with a tracking number. The item was shipped, provided them a tracking number and guess what? no reply after that. Tried calling their shop.... no response. I started to get worried at this point, I would email them once a day for 4 consecutive days and after i saw that they received the returned knob, i emailed them about twice a day for another 4 consecutive days. On the 5th day, i had to threaten them that if i don't get a reply from you guys, i would have to take some sort of action. They finally replied and told me that they actually didn't have the one i needed in stock and they needed the weekend to make it. I was fine with that..... Well, the weekend went by (the past weekend), i emailed them and what do you know.... NO REPLY!! I was sick and tired of this customer service, so what i disputed this transaction on paypal and provided them with tracking number and my whole story.

Just a heads up, if you guys do plan on taking this risk on ordering with these guys, make sure you guys PAY BY PAYPAL, this way if you do run into any bumps with them (which you probably will) there is a chance of disputing this transaction.

Good luck to you all!"

Flossy's Reply on IWSTI:

"Customer was dissatisfied, so we gave him a full refund. He received the product he ordered first, and then needed one that was different from the first order as stated by him. We do not stock that product, so we needed to make it, which takes the time he does not have. Unfortunately calling and emailing do not speed up production."

My Reply Back:

"What an excuse..... I was told by you guys that the new knob would be shipped out once i provided tracking number for my return. You guys didn't hold your word against that. When you guys finally received the returned knob, there was no email whatsoever on the status and whatnot for weeks. You guys basically lied to me this whole time. I'm sure anyone here would've been worried and done the same.

Blaming this situation on your customer just shows how great of customer service you guys provides.

I got my refund back as promised but the return amount of $5.00 down the drain. Thanks for nothing."

I personally would not recommend these guys to anyone here, friends, families, girlfriends, and etc.

Hope you guys find this a bit helpful.

Default Chad at Flossy shift knobs Lies about shipping product

Chad at Flossy shift knobs Lies about shipping product. Or maybe he has been badly injured and cannot respond to emails or phone calls. My last cOntact was an email two weeks ago in which he states that he shipped my product. I have not received it and tried to contact him but he has not been responsive at all. Anyone know what happened to him or the nature in dealing with his comPany?
Thanks for any input or advice.

What the hEll is wrOng with your keyPad?

We should create a vendor review section. It would be a great place for issues like this.

My keyboard is an iPhone and it often does weird cap things when deleting and retyping. I am just lazy about every correction. I didn't think it to be a big deal. I read many threads on people that love the flossy knob and thought I did my homework till I read the above review and had a similar experience. The knob is also extremely cold and I am worried about scalding heat in the summer. But it is a very nice and good weighted knob.

It's made of solid metal. What did you expect?

Waited on my flossy knob for awhile but I do blame most of that on my moving around throughout the month. When I did talk to Flossy they made me feel better about my purchase with them. The knob is ridiculously good.

I paid way back around September 7th, 2013. I still do not have my knob. I ordered the Elton, but weighted as a shorty with 6-Speed engraving. With exchange rate/shipping/custom options I'm out roughly $147.

Here we are 4 months later, and he hasn't returned any emails or messages since in a month and a half ago (actually creeping up on two months). The last email stated that he thought he had gotten my order completed and that he would get back to me.

This is his last email dated November 26th, 2013...

I am so sorry, I assumed you received the knob already. Let me see what the hold up is on this, and I will get back with you. Worst case, I will ship another when the Elton's come out of coating on Friday. So sorry!

I was really happy with Chad at first because he was always very communicative and understood exactly what I wanted. All seemed great. Since my knob wasn't a regular ordered item I believe I was told it would be 4-6 weeks. I was fine with that as I also wasn't in a big hurry at first due to being in the middle of my 6-speed drivetrain swap anyway. Regardless 4 months is pure bull itshay, and terrible customer service. I have friends that are so happy with their Flossy knobs, but they actually got theirs and within' a quoted time frame.

I'm getting pretty pissed off at this point. From searching it seems that a lot of people have had to wait, but I think I'm screwed now.

I thought it may be important to note this little caption from the Warranty notation on the website...

"will ship the item with 2-day air to your doorstep."

I' in the same boat as you Deedz. Ordered mine Sept 11th. Basically the same exact experience.

I don't think we'll ever see our shift knobs or our money again.

I posted my experience with this abortion clinic...I mean...Flossy on clubwrx.

"Chad", never answered any of my emails...phone is disconnected. disputed the transaction with my CC company and filed a complaint on BBB. DO NOT do business with these people. I should have read about these guys on the forums. Or who knows...maybe "Chad" (sweet name by the way), got hit by a meteorite.

Sucks to hear all this negativity..I really wana pull the trigger on one of these knobs.
Seeing all this neg- crap about how they lag and don't respond to peoples emails "which is beyond frustrating" makes me NOT want to buy one.

I made the mistake of ordering from them. They was fast to response to the original order since i ordered the wrong knob. But long story short, i want to cancel my order. I am still waiting to get my refund back. Chad or the boss floss emailed me saying the orders been cancelled and i should receive a email that states so. I still yet haven't receive one single email. I have emailed them back at least 3 times and no response what so ever. Pretty bad company in my opinion. I might have to go through my own bank to dispute this... Thanks for wasting my time.

Subawoo77, save your money and time. Don't be like me stuck in this situation. I'm going on 2 weeks with no response. These guys don't care.

I think its the fact that once he gets your money. Its on to the next sucker.... Unfortunately I didn't read up on on them and now I'm out 108 bucks and will most likely have to dispute this with my credit union. Oh how fun...

It was def worth the wait..took two weeks but it was worth it. BAD ASS shift knob. No problems with communications through email. Honest about shipment. I think the key is to be patient and contact them before hand to see what shift knobs are in stock and ready to ship.

I bought mine based upon that picture... This is what mine looks like a month later...

The finish is cracking and chipping off in two places. I emailed them and haven't received a reply back.

Took the gamble despite all the negativity I found online...

Ordered Feb 4, 2015.
Shipped Feb 14, 2015. With tracking info.
Received Feb 17, 2015.

I got the shorty grip tape. Looks great and feels great. I have the factory short throw.

Old thread i know, but Hey porkch0p, I might just have it worse than you, ordered from them, gave me the wrong knob wrong design, gave me a replacement but it's upside down!!! So been waiting for the correct knob, 5 months later, I don't think it's coming. I've been having constant chats with them through IG and they have been promising. Now just flat out blocked me and ignored. I don't think it's coming anymore...lol
