Yeah. Dont worry about it. Anyone that reads his post will see that he wanted to run stock 420 injectors on a 2.5 motor with turbo.

This is why I'm mad,
I emailed you twice saying I was putting on 1000'cc injectors and you never said anything about it. Only after I had sent money you told me the 1000'cc wouldn't work. If you just told me then that the injectors wouldn't work before I sent you payment, that would have been fine. The exchange of emails is below. I don't want the map and I don't want a credit. I dont understand why you can't refund me my payment. I imagine you looked at the order I placed on your site and saw the injector conflict and it went no further than that. If there is something I'm missing please let me know. I've opened a dispute with my credit card company.

Aug 21, 2012 Chargeback Settlement Completed Details -$200.00 USD -$20.00 USD -$220.00 USD

The money was removed from my account and refunded back in Aug 21. If you dont have your money, take it up with your credit card company. It cost me 20 Extra as a penalty. You won man. You got two maps, A refund, and they put a penalty on me. All because you lied to the CC company and said you did not order the map and it was a fraud charge. Now I am going to email this to all tuners/vendors. We stick close and dont like to deal with people like you that screw us over.

I've used clark's tunes for my 07 wrx since i got my ap. a stage 2 pro tune and my current stage 3 map that I've run for over a year. they have all been great tunes and clark has always replied quickly and answered any questions i have. additionally the parts clark has recommended for me based on his knowledge have always fit into exactly what i was looking for. I just got a new map from him for my new batch of mods and the car runs great. Clark even helped me through every hiccup i had with the new parts and although he may have had pounding head ache dealing with me, he still guided me every step of the way. Clarks knowledge, tunes, prices, and customer service are outstanding and i recommend him for anybody looking for a tune.

I have an 08 WRX with a drop in filter and 3" FMS turbo back exhaust. Clark has great communication and I am very satisfied with the tune. I had a malfunctioning perrin ebcs and I had to get the map upgrade from Clark. Perrin is replacing the part, but I am happy with the final tune I got with the stock ebcs for now, especially since I still have the stock turbo. He knows his stuff. Would definitely recommend him to anyone. I ended up with 231 AWHP and 270 ft/lb AWtq.

Working with Clark over the last few years has been nothing short of awesome. I have a 2002 wrx making around 350awhp on the stock block at over 184,000 miles...the last 10,000 have been Clark tuned at that power and the old girl is still going strong. The last time I had a few small issues with the car Clark helped me out free of charge, like he has done many times in past. All of my tunes, over the years, as I added parts and changed things here and there went safely and smoothly. He has always been helpful, friendly, and professional; he is also very open with his advice and knowledge, gained from many many years tuning and working on subarus. I would recommend him to anyone.

Just Finished my tune from Clark a couple of days ago on an 08 legacy GT. Clark's customer service is great. He responded to emails within a few hours and I had revisions no longer than a day after I sent him my data logs.

He is a good tuner and will not tune around ****. I had a massive airleak and Clark let me know and was very patient and helpful sorting out my issues. I am very happy with the way the car is running. Better than cobbs maps thats for sure!!!

Thanks Clark, I will be hitten you up when I am ready for mod revisions!

Clark just finished tuning my 02 wagon stage 4. And I am super happy with the results also his customer service was great, he helped me pin point a weak coil and was patient while I waited for the new ones to come in. His response time for turning around maps was with in hours. All in all I'm extremely happy with Clark and I would absolutely recamend his to other enthusiasts.

Just finished up my simple stage 2 tune with Clark on my 03 bugeye. Car idles smoother, drives smoother not to mention the extra power. The turn around time from when you give him the logs to getting a new map was about an hour or two at most. You really cant ask for more, especially at this price. Definitely will be back for future mods.

It's three hours to the shop I want to do my tune (CBRD speed factory of York, PA) so i figure this is the next best thing. Haven't ordered my tune yet but I messaged Clark a little bit ago and with in 10 minutes I had a response from him and he was able to suggest certain things for me. Sounds like a great guy so far and I must say I'm excited for the tune and see what kind of magic he can work.

I'm editing this to let people know of my progress.

After a couple weeks of Clark's tune, I was getting constant knock throughout the RPM range and was extremely low on power for what I had. I was making near stock 2.0l power levels. The mods I have are turbo back, EWG and drop in filter.

After emailing Clark back and forth explaining to him my car was slower than stock, and definitely my Cobb OTS map, he blamed my rings as the issue. I got multiple opinions from different tuners and the consensus was that the tune was terrible. I told Clark I wanted a refund and he would not repsond.

I emailed Ron from Phatbotti and got a tune immediately. Never been happier. I won't post numbers for the sake of embarrassing Clark, but you can PM if you'd like to know.

PS, my motor has had no mechanical issues since that day. Guess my rings are fine.

Just an awesome guy. Just finished a stage 3 speed density tune with clark. finished putting car back together last night and spent today logging and emailing back n forth. The very first map he sent me had perfect drivability on speed density. That's just freaking awesome. fine tuned the boost and fuel... done and done. great to deal with you clark! I would have never imagined how one could get a great tune via email... speed density none the less...

2006 Wrx 5-speed. Stock internals and tranny.
I have had my newest Clark tune now for about a month. Still runs great! This is my third tune from him. All have been great with Smooooth amazing power that really let's the boxer shine.
1st tune: vf39 with Perrin exhaust. Made 290whp/tq
2nd tune: switched to a Cobb exhaust and boost got flutter so he cleaned up the tune for me.
3rd: went back to stock td04 and Clark retuned from the ground up. Great torque feel. Feels just as strong in low gears as the vf39. No dyno runs yet but feels good knowing you have a safe good tune from Clark. i cant afford a blown engine with all the busted engines I hear rolling around.
Allin all the last 30k miles have been on a Clark tune and can tell the difference between a ots and a Clark tune.

It is always a pleasure dealing with Clark. He is very polite, always responds to my emails within minutes, and the results are second to none!

I have gotten Clark to tune my last 3 Subaru's with nothing but the best results.

As far as that cueball character is concerned, do your research on part combinations and always consult with your tuner before purchasing anything. You have absolutely no right to take out your dumb decisions on the person who is doing nothing but helping you! Its ashame that Clark had to deal with that crap and then literally pay for your mistakes.

Clark is an awesome guy! I recently installed a Cobb SF Intake and TBE on my 2012 WRX and didn't want to run the car on the Cobb Stage 2 map any longer than I had too. I e-mailed Clark around August asking for a simple map that makes safe, reliable power and not even 5 minutes later I had a response and a map. Skip to today when I was finally able to send him the logs, and again, 5 minutes later I had a map back in my inbox and a response saying that everything looked good, plus a virtual dyno sheet showing what kind of power the car had made! Granted, I have only had the map on the car for a few hours, but I imagine I will have no issues and if I do, I won't hesitate to contact Clark and have him take a look at things! This is a great option for people that don't live close to a tuner/dyno and are looking for a safer tune than what Cobb provides.

Cool 06 WRX Stage 2 Tune

Hello All,

I'm leaving a review for the stage 2 tune I received from Clark Turner. My mods are as follows:

3" TBE (Catless); Megan Racing Downpipe, mated to an SRS Catback
Cobb SF Intake w/heatshield
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
NGK 2309 1 step colder plugs

Initially I was running the Cobb OTS Stage 2 map. The map was extremely rich with my setup. I had also hit boost creep several times when pushing the car hard.

I had read several mixed reviews with Clark's E-Tune Service. I decided to purchase the tune and informed him of my upgrades. He had suggested the Fuel Pump and the plugs for the stage 2 setup.

I had purchased the map on 10/19/12 and informed him of my setup. He contacted me within an hour and provided me with the base map. He also informed me that I had the wrong spark plugs installed. (Had NGK Laser Iridium (ILFR6B) installed). NGK has the Plugs for MY06 listed wrong. He instructed me to change the plugs immediately.

On 10/20 I installed the suggested plugs and Flashed the Base map to my car. I performed the logging steps and forwarded the requested logs to Clark.

The car ran smooth and appears to have a higher target boost than the Cobb OTS Stage 2 map. Clark replied to my email on 10/22 and informed me that everything looks great. He gave me a second map to flash to my car and informed me that he made some small tweaks and nothing else needed to be done and he did not need any further logs.

He sent me a graph of a virtual dyno and told me the car was running great. He asked if I was happy with the tune.

I replied to Clark's email and left him know that everything seems to be running well and that the tune had removed the richness in the car and the car runs smooth. I informed him I'm not familiar with the tuning process and asked if there is anything I should know about the map. I assume since the tune is not the same as the Cobb Stage 2 OTS map, that the boost targets are higher. From the logs, it looks as though the boost is between 17-17.5 lbs. (The map also appears to have cured my Boost Creep Issue).

Clark's response was "Its good to go man.. If you are happy, please post a review here man"

I am satisfied with the tune. I would give the transaction a 7 out of 10. Clark has a great response time. Appears to have great knowledge of the WRX. The tune feels strong and smooth. The price is great considering that getting a protune at the limited shops around here would cost between 400 - 500 dollars. Plus the couple hour drive to reach the shop.

I give it a 7 because I wasn't given any information on what was adjusted in the tune initially. I wasn't informed of what my Boost target should be. And I wasn't informed of the small tweaks that needed to be made on the second map that Clark sent me.

I'm not extremely familiar with tuning and I'm not sure if a tuner should show exactly how and what he adjusted to create the tune. But it would be nice to know some information on the tune; what was adjusted and how it helps to create more power with the car. It just kind of feels, like I was blown off towards the end.

Either way. Thank you for the tune Clark. The car does feel great and runs strong. I would suggest a tune from Clark Turner to another WRX owner.

Interesting to see someone trying to get their money back from this guy .. I tried his website and facebook for prices and did not find them . I asked 3 times for prices and got no answers . I asked twice to see dyno sheets for stock and stage 2 and did not get what I asked for . I asked for the difference between catless downpipe with stock exhaust and catted and after market exhaust .. and his reply . .. quote was "I think at that point it would be pointless to modify the car."

Not sure what to say .. but sure would be worried about after sales service when you cant get an answer when your trying to buy ....

Buyer beware I think

Yeah, I tried to get an e-tune from him at the beginning of the year for my ej207. Since Clark has a good reputation for tuning the EJ207, I decided to give him a try. Unfortunately we couldn't work things out. Once I flashed his map on my car is ran super lean(It would max fuel correction and still lean out even at idle, it would barley idle and often stall it was so lean.) He kept saying that I had a boost leak. I verified that there was no leak but pressure testing the intake tract 3 times finding nothing(held pressure no problem). When I flashed the stock JDM ROM back on the car would run fine 14-15 AFR at idle and the fuel corrections were not more than 10% (I did have a K&N typhoon, which he knew about). As soon as I flashed his map back on (with out changing anything else) the car would max fuel trim correction and then lean out.

At first he genuinely tried to help me with it to find out why it was so lean. After I exhausted all the possibilities the only thing that it could have been was an improper MAF scaling. Which I guess he took offense to and that's is when he got very unprofessional.

I tried to ask questions to why his map would be so lean suggesting that maybe the MAF scale was not correct. The stock ROM the car ran fine, and the map was all that was changed, science says its the map!

The MAF scale that he gave me had the values DECREASED from stock for an intake that flows MORE air than stock, of course its gonna run lean! He proceed to tell me how stupid I am since I haven't tuned any cars and he has tuned thousands of subarus. I eventually got sick of being insulted and took my car else where to be tuned.

He said that he doesn't offer refunds so he kept my money and all I got was a map that would blow my car up if I go into boost. I really should have disputed it with paypal.

Some people have had awesome experiences with Clark, I guess I just wasn't one of them. Defiantly buyer beware!

Lol at 'running lean=boost leak'. When a car has a boost leak it runs rich... There is a leak of air.. Therefore some of the air that the car thinks its getting is escaping and therefore there is too much fuel for not enough air. Not the other way around.
