Default HELP: WRX motor swap.....

i have been thinking of doing a wrx swap in my 2.5i for a while now. i was wondering if anyone knows where i could go about buying a motor and everything needed. i know (i think) i need the full harness and ecu with matching keys and the motor. i would like a 2006-2007 motor. can someone help me please? thanks in advance! no burning please! i know i have heard it all "just buy a wrx and not spend the time or money on the 2.5i." i have heard it so please dont. this is what i want to do ok? i dont like copying everyone i like doing my own thing.

its because your wrong ... look at the simple numbers

06 2.5i kbb-->$12.7
03 wrx kbb-->$12.1

estimated cost for swap
2-4k for the engine
2-4k for the instal
and it will drop your resale value 2-3k as well

what many of the ppl in this forum have done its a far better idea
go buy an old shell and swap in new bits. you can pick up a 93-95 shell for <750
vs one still under factory warranty

one. im not going to resell my car two. i am doing it after my warranty thats is done in less than 2000 more miles. im tired of people telling me to do everything like everyone else is doing. i dont like that. i want to do my own thing. plus what someone might want to do is possible different then some other people. im not meaning to be rude but your the one thats wrong for telling me i am for wanting to do something.

Dont waste your time. Get a Wrx. The amount your going to spend to do all the converting is gonna exceed or cost just as much as the real thing but you will still have good brakes. The labor alone is gonna be a good chunk not to mention the whole setup.

Id talk to the bank about financing a Wrx before doing what your doing.

Honestly...you have no idea what you're talking about in any of your posts.

Dont waste your time with the swap. Sell the car and get an older WRX. Your costs will be huge, as well as a big resale value drop.
