Default easiest way disconnecting cruise control cable from TB, cruise control removal 02-03

For those who have removed your cruise control on your drive by wire cars, how did you remove the cable from the TB assembly? Do I push out the rod that holds the wire to the assembly? whats the easiest way to do that and how did you guys keep the CC rotating plate thing from flopping around after the cable is removed?

I never ever use cruise control and I'd like to get rid of it and sell it. I've searched but no luck in finding solid info or DIY for this.

thanks

It is indeed very simple...

there are two jam nuts holding the cable onto the intake manifold... take one nut loose, slide the cable out of the bracket, this will now allow enough slack to unhook the end of the cable from the TB. Then remove the actual cruise control unti, just a couple bolts if I remember correctly.... and the plug... thats about it... takes 5 minutes in all....
