Default oem wrx shift kit vs. sti/wrx quick shift kit

The whats better about the subaru wrx quick shift kit than the regular oem wrx shifter system that comes with the car. Is it just a different lever that shortens the throw (like regular aftermarket short shifter) or is the whole linkage different too?

Default

The linkage is the same...actually it doesn't even come with a new linkage. It is a different lever and shifter arm that goes to the trans. The end result is a 10% reduction in throw over the standard shifter.
