Default 00 impreza rs tranny swap

I'm looking to make my 2000 impreza 2.5rs coupe into a standard transmission! I can't stand having this car with automatic, ruins the fun!
What are all the parts with approximate pricing I will be needing for the whole job? I know a guy willing to sell me a standard tranny with 20,000km on it from an 01 impreza (same model as mine) for about $1600 (this is all CAD by the way).
Thanks!

I'd say.....spend the $$$ and get a 6spd. You'd be rolling!
I was thinking about swapping in a 2.5L NA with harness back into my car while I rebuild my WRX motor and heads.

I quite playing with the NA trannies. I only use them as tempory trannies incase my tranny goes down.

What more would I be looking at for a 6spd compared to the 5?

A few things to note here.

Is your car an RS or an L?

There were 3 different final drives available 3:90/4:11/4:44 in GC/GM/GF Imprezas.

If you are still N/A and not planning to swap the car stick with the 5mt as the 6mt will just slow the car down.

My tranny setup cost me a little over $5600; '04 JDM STi DCCD/shift linkage/R180/axles/hubs/spindles/brembos.

You would need to do the while tranny driveline swap if going 6spd. You won't have to worry MUCH about breaking gears (but will break if driven wrong).

You have an Auto 2.5RS. You fun a 4.444FD. You can pick up a JDM GC8 Version 3-6 WRX/STi tranny. They run a 4.444FD. Depending if you get a STi or RA will determine the gear ratios. And if you get a STi Type R/STi Type RA will you get the DCCD.

It's the Impreza 2.5RS, 2 door coupe.
Eventually I'd like to do a whole sti swap. Engine, tranny, driveline etc.
But for now it almost seems better to stick with 5spd until I actually do get the new engine, and parts needed for the conversion.
So I'll need to buy a new clutch, and the transmission. What else is needed?
