im pretty sure i have the same setup. from the numbers it showed it as a V-limited WRX. i just bought the front clip though.

What ECU dose your car have in it?

i am running stock turbo but with 3" TBE and FMIC, with stock Boost controler it is boosting to 14.8PSI. and i am running stock EM. putting down 225 AWHP on a KAS' Mustang Dyno. i have been running this setup for over 30K now with no problems.

these old ECU's are fine with some small mods. now if you put bigger turbo and injectors or something like that you may need additional EM.

just my $0.02 take it for what its worth.

Post up the vin plate. If it's a v-limited then it's a 1995 and standard 260hp. If it's a version 2 v-limited, which would be a 1996 then it's an STi-RA. Huge difference between the two...

yes it is a V-limited and all the paper work says its a 1996 but i asked the guys at the dealer if it was STI but he said no(i might be getting a deal hear ), it was just wrx i dint see anything sti on it.
it has a big decorated circle on the trunk and on the seats that says
" V-limited FIA 1995 rally champion"
i got... i think....#525 out or 1000
i drove it and my god it feels like a monster compared to my stage 1 wrx in the states

i don't think im going to add bigger turbo just the normal mods , it already comes with and intake and bov, i was just thinking on doing some suspension work, 3" turbo back and maybe XS boost controller and a gage.
i was just wondering if the stock ecu would do fine with this.
thanks for your help.

It should feel faster than your stage I WRX. It's 300 lbs lighter, making another 30+chp and has shorter gearing.

My gutt tells me that this is just the standard V Limited from 1995, which is not a bad thing. 1996 paperwork suggests that it was first registered in 1996, which is totally feasible since it was a limited edition that carried a premium price and may have sat on a car lot for a while. But the only way to tell is to get us the vin or even better, the chassis plate from the driver's strut tower.
Chassis code GC8C48D will be a V-limited. GC8C4DD will be a V2 STI-RA V-limited.

Here's the decoder that most people around here use.

Your car is a 1995 V-Limited. It likely just wasn't registered for the first time until 1996, and to my understanding they made the V-limiteds late in the production cycle, so closer to that 8/95 cutoff date than other models.

Mr Monson is correct. I went to the dealership yesterday to verify with them what you pulled off of the vin plate. It is indeed a V-limited. If you get a chance, can you shoot your motor? I'd like to see what the limited looks like compared to my car.

Resale of limited edition cars in Japan is a crapshoot, you can either find a super deal or get screwed by overpricing. Oki usually is the first, as they get alot of cars from Mainland that haven't sold here for awhile or didnt make the cut for resale in another country.

There are tons of parts places from what I understand in Oki that can help ie. don't use the internet, the parts are already where you are. Do you have a Super Autobacs nearby (new)? Do you have a Go-Parts there (used)? Either store can pull parts from their Mainland stores if need be. If you can't find what you are looking for, try the guys from the Air Force on Mainland, there is a guy up north that can get pretty much anything you want and he ships, if you have the time.
