Default I need AWD!

So I'm sitting around watching a movie and looking at all the new snow outside when I decide to go for a drive and get some food. I get out and I do alright following the tracks in the road. After I get my food I head down this basically untracked road. So everythings going fine until I stop. I was two blocks from home and it took me ten minutes to get there. I had to keep backing up to build up momentum to plow through the snow I had built up.

I'm guessing you guys don't have this problem. I'd like to go skiing tomorrow, but I doubt my car would make it up the mountain. Can't wait till next winter.

I can't believe all the snow outside! I woke up this morning to go to work at 4am, and the snow is higher than the hood of my car! In my driveway! So I backup, give her a little gas and plow on through, blacking out my fogs and headlights in the process. If I stop, I know I'll get stuck. So I kept driving with my lights useless and snow plowing over my hood. Got down to the end of the street before I figured out it wasn't a good idea to keep going, so I turned around called in for work. Bah, crazy. I wouldn't have gotten as far as I did without AWD, but I'm not stupid enough to get myself stuck without a cell phone miles away from home.

I live right next to Omalley Golf Course. I luckily had no problem getting through the snow . My roommate got stuck and I had to help dig him out. Snow has stopped now, how you guys doing?

Technically, I live on the road furthest south in the Anchorage bowl. Because it's on the hillside, we got a fraction of what the rest of the south side received. I'm not complaining at all, I had no problems tooling around the neighborhood today at all.

Eastsiiiieeeeede!!! I had fun today. I even made some extra cash. My car was low enough to help plow driveways.

I haven't even left my house yet since the snow. I live across from Tastee Freeze in the Town and Country estates. Its like a hole in the ground and you have to drive up to get out. I have helped a lot of people get out of here.

I live on Pettis just off of Johns Road (just past Oceanview Elementary.) I was wading around in waste-deep snow in my yard! It was fun! Running and doing flips into the snow with the roommate's kid! It was a blast, although plowing the driveway wasn't Didn't have any problems getting around, though.

AK_2002_WRX: Just make sure you fall flat, that way you'll distribute the load across you entire body, not just your legs It's fun! I thought about jumping off my deck, too, but then quickly erased that thought...

Go for it, my brother and I used to jump off the roof of our two story house when we'd get snow like this. Didn't even hurt.

My nextdoor neighbor has a skip-loader. I should have him push all the snow into a huge mound in front of my house so I can jump off my roof! The only problem is that my roof has about a 30 degree inclination, and is coverd in snow and ice, so I would probably slide off into the driveway. I better move my car first....
