Default 2000 rs turboed questions..

Ok i need some ****EN Straight answers...What do i need to turbo my car? How much should i expect to pay for each item. And whats a safe psi to run? I heard like 8 blows the motor or w.e and 5 is usually good. Well im looking to run like 3-5 psi Nothing much. Just want a lil kick in the pants.

Thanks. And please don't say sell and buy a wrx or full blown engine/tranny swaps. Although i would like too.

Search. I made a huge thread with all the info you need. You also can't "run like 3-5psi" without changing wastegates on the turbo you are using. I've also never seen a 3psi wastegate but they may exist.

You should just get a turbo kit like from FAT or AVO.

Default yeah

AVO kit will work just fine actually...there are a number of turbo'd RS's and most owners are very pleased with what they have in ther set up...if you go more then your gona need internals but6psi isn't bad especially if you would have driven your car with out a turbo to begin with for how many miles you run it..and the cool thing is you can always turn the boost off and run it normal sure your turbine will stil be turning but not at load like its use to running. Go with the kit no need to swap...guys who swap want one an easy way out and 2 more boost if you want your lil kick and are fine with your lil kick then go avo kit(kick) way. your not gona beat an sti but if you know that already you'll perfectly fine with the bragging rights of a N/A turbo'd vehicle that performs great as it is.

Wait, you can run a turbo kit with no boost? Dude, I'd stop right now...

Are you kidding me? Your turbo will have no wastegate control, therefore your turbine will spin and spin until it breaks.
