Some crazy new chains Thule came out with called the K-Summit that we will carry. You put on to one lug to put on the chain adaptor on and ratchet it down.

Haha yeah! They were selling brand new Option boards for like $120-$150! I saw Burton bindings brand new for $90 as well! I got me a Rossignol board for $200!

So did anybody end up getting that deal at Seymour?

Cypress apparently extended their early bird deal. I bet that's due to the fact that they jacked up the rates quite a bit this year.

The peak season for Cypress went up about 8 bucks this year. So for a full adult pass with tax in, you're looking at close to 65-70$, at least until Feb

I heard about the snow show but from what I've been told from the years before, there wasn't really anything worth buying. The good deals for gear are still from the states.

Bmiranda, which Rossignol board did you get? I have one of em too but I got it for cheap last season for like 120$. I was n00b back then so it doesn't really matter what I rode then hehe.

So do we have an official VIC date to hit the slopes? Whistler opens in Nov, the peak to peak thing is in Dec.

Ha, I think I have a similar board but I think it was a 06/07 model.

Darn.. I should've picked up that Grouse 07/08 pass for like 200 in like Feb of this year. The prices for snow sports nowadays is just way out of control.

Can't wait till the snow falls. now where is that dancing banana......

The Rossi RS was one of my favorites to ride for a couple of seasons well that is till I switched to the Custom X. With the Rossi I found that you really have to work it to make it do what you want and the Burton it's more neutral and just does everything with out much effort.

But $200 for a RS is a great price what year and condition was the board in?

I've had the same issue, everyone seems to recommend RackAttack (www.rackattack.com).

Personally im trying to find a good used one to save a couple hundred bucks, but doesn't seem to be an easy task.

I've got a feeling I'll break something too. The last time I was on skis, I broke my collar bone and that sure wasn't much fun. Actually come to think, a fellow VIC can be my witness for that event!

dasnowman, what kind of rack would you recommend for a wagon? I assume I'll need the OEM crossbars first.

Or... would a bucket be a better bet even though it's like 4x the price? I can't imagine any of these racks are going to help with the fuel economy. I'm afraid of scratching or denting the roof too.

If I have my way, I'll be on the mountain more hours than I will be at work so I'll definitely have to set up some meets, even though I haven't met any of you before.

You don't need the OEM crossbars. I purchased my Thule from Rack attack and it came with crossbars that are held onto the roof rails via nifty little rubber straps that lock. Two winters and no complaints, it is a good rack. the cross bars come at length from the factory. I just cut mine to size for a cleaner look. I do want to get me the fairing for it though to make it look a little cleaner. Dasnowman, you guys sell just the fairings I assume? Not sure which one I would need.

.

Bucket?? Not sure what you mean? Cargo box?

Any way those racks above are if you don't want to carry any thing but skis or boards. I usually recommend a base rack then you can throw anything from wood, kayaks, bike, etc on them.

Cargo box's are great at protecting your gear from sand and salt on the drive up to boards skis in there when you grab a beer or lunch afterwards!
