You're going to love it. A good friend of mine has been riding one for the last few years.. nothing but good things to say about it (especially the damping!). however, he also picked up an Evo and finds that more fun so that's been seeing more time on the mountains

I'll one day try NS (even my GF shreds on one) but until then.. i'm a Bataleon guy.

badpepperseed: how are you so fortunate to be able to demo boards for the year!? sponsored? haha

Speed Patrol always chill in the same spot also so that helps.
Thanks.
I can understand if it was on Collin's, but I was coming off the blue off of the Raven lift where it merges with Panorama. The guy threatened to take my pass away. I was thinking "Are you serious?"

I've only heard great things about NS, so let's hope I will experience it first hand this season.

I am still looking for a pair of bindings to go with it. Any recommendations?

I wish Slowguy! on the sponsorship and the demo I demo them for a day or two when they have a booth on the slope.
Have you ridden Bataleon Enemy? I've heard nothing but good things about that board.

That's weak, blue means go! plus that's the best corner to rip especially if you take the inside and hit the wall.
Take your pass away??? what a powertrip, sorry to hear that. Guys like that have no place on the hill.

i havent tried union yet so i cant comment, but a quick search looks like that model is comparable to the Rome Targa's which is a great all mountain binding.. I think other comparable binders include .. oh wait. i have no clue. hahah. I only know people rant and rave about Rome and Unions.. no pressure points! lol.

I don't recall what bindings my friend has on his- I want to say old school Burton CO2s.. lol. Just depends how much response you want I guess?

I'll be rocking 2012 K2 Formulas with my stick this year.. kept hearing good things about it but never found a set for sale until this past summer

I gave away all my old snowbording vids to my brother a couple years ago.

Whiskey 3+4 Tb 5 6 7 8 9 Simple Pleasures, Decade, The Resistance, Amped, stomping ground, Destroyer, subjekt haakonsen, momemtum, fathom, some crazy vid about the wildcats... and a bunch more that i forget there names.

Of course he doesn't know where any of them are now

ohhh well atleast I burned whiskey 3 and 4 onto dvd

Sweet price for a Seymour pass, i'll need to hit it up a few times this season.
True, the line-ups at Cypress can be nuts on a sunny weekend after a dump but I've seen that on every hill.
Jump in the singles line! that's what we do when we're Jonesing on a busy day.
92kms? holy frack that's moving, must have been a 1 min run?
Oh Mt Baker! I love thee

T6 is a sweet board but I thought it would be fragile for me I have bad luck with breaking super light boards. Custom X lover here current and last two have been Custom X's.

I really want to try some mega traction, reverse camber, neutral camber boards still never rode one. Sort of a old school purist but would like to try something different anyway just in case I'm missing something.

Come back into the light Solar, 5 X 12 years?? what happen yo?
99/00 was the best season for boarding, remember that 1000 cm dump? I rode Cypress on the last day July 18th, now that was a season.

I have over 200 days on that T6 and tippin the scales at 250 LB my board gets worked. If I can find another 164cm I'd run out and buy it, best big mountain board I've every had and tough. Custom X would be my next step up from the T6 but that Travis Rice CBXHP calls me as well as The Enemy.
Neutral camber would be a throw back to the Kemper days lol

I can't wait for this years season to start. Cypress is my favorite local with Seymour coming in second(although I was stuck on their chairlift for over an hour last year. grrr!) Would love to hit up Baker this year too. Haven't been since '06. Crazy pow there.

I am a Lib-tech rider through and through. Love the bendy jibs and noodle dynamics.

If you enjoyed "Way of Life" check out "All.I.Can". It's produced by the same people (Sherpas Cinema) and has some killer cinematography. In particular, check out JP Auclair's Street segment that was filmed up in Terrace:

I just got my new rubber floor mats and rubber trunk mat from subarugenuineparts.com yesterday, a used OEM crossbar setup off craigslist for $75 for my Thule boxster, and I'm picking up my Rally Armour mudflaps from UPS after work today. To top it off, I purchased my season's pass for Whistler last week.

Also, to the dude that's looking at new bindings, I highly recommend Union. I have been riding Union Flites for the past 2 seasons and I ride 25+ days in whistler, 4-5 days on locals and 4 days heliskiing each season and nothing has failed on them. They're super light and the backs have a really nice feel. Another note about Union bindings is their mounting hardware has a really small surface area so it creates less of a "dead spot" on your board and allows it to flex the way it should. I'm using them on my Libtech TRS c2 and it's my absolutely ideal setup for an all-mountain board.

Happy riding!

The movie was alright.

I won the tickets to it worth $12x2 and I take my buddy and he wins a $400-$500 North Face Jacket... **** I never win the good stuff but better him then some random!

I love my Burton Custom X and the Flow NXT AT bindings. The flow bindings have come a long way from when I started riding them 12-15 years ago. Magnesium base plates and chassis with carbon fiber highbacks, it keeps the weight down. And I go with the freestyle cup to have nice flex between the board and my stiff Burton Driver X boots. I like having a stiffer boot because on hard packed or choppy days you ride with them nice and tight. Keeping them stiff for better edge control and slice through the chop. For freestyle, slushy and pow days I just run them loose to keep them soft and flexy.

Anyone go to the Ski and snowboard show at the PNE worth checking out or did it bomb again?

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I will order a pair of union bindings next weekend. ^__^

It wasn't completely awful.

The conditions were as so on Sunday:
- slushy with some bare areas on the side hits (inspect the hits first, lots of uneven ground for landings/rocks protruding); the main area of the open runs are covered well

- have to walk to singles line after every run due to only being able to come down one side of the lift directly (I came down the out of bounds area via two routes only to lose a piece of my base hitting multiple rocks), not a viable solution; of course you could always wait in the closer but longer lines if so inclined

- some brown snow with rocks at lift lines (IMO standard for low snowfall conditions)
- only two parking lots full so relatively quiet
- workers at the top of the lift ushering those that fall and are slow to move away (3 people) which is freaking awesome because lots of people were falling (they really try not to stop the lift even if they pull people to the side)

Overall, I had a good time and will book in some night time boarding, one lift open or not.

Kind of bummed I didn't go on Saturday too before the blackout period.

Sunpeaks was fantastic. Been getting 5-8cm most days.

All lifts open. All but the double black runs covered and open. Even some ability to play in the trees (but barely).
