Well, after nearly five years of ownership, I finally had the opportunity to get my car tuned. I have always read good things about Agile here on Nasioc, so I made an appointment with Agile Auto on Sept 20 and drove in from Morgantown the night before. My appointment was for 2pm and shortly after I arrived my car was in the bay getting ready for the session.
Before the tuning session started, a GM boost solenoid was installed. After the first base run, it was apparent that the Cobb Stage 2 map sucked. The IDC’s were around 110 and it was running as rich as the chart would show. Luckily I don’t drive the car hard very often. We did get some black smoke and Hill wanted to make sure of the health of the motor, so a compression test was done. Compression was good all around, but the plugs were toast. Apparently the smoke was just the carbon burning off from my granny driving habits on my daily commute. So for my cars sake, i'll have to change my driving habits. ![]() On pump 93, without the alcohol, we got 314whp and 328 wtq. I’m using a 50/50 mix of distilled water and denatured alcohol. With the alcohol 327whp and 371wtq were the final numbers. What can I say? I’m completely happy and satisfied on how my car runs now. The car runs so much smoother throughout the entire power band with power everywhere. It’s like a totally different car. ![]() First off, I’d like to thank Hill. His level of knowledge and professionalism is unmatched. He did an excellent job tuning my car and answered any questions I had. I’d also like to thank Artie. He did a great job getting everything set up for the tune and wrenching on my car. I hit the magical mark on the way home. ![]()

Thank you Geoff. It's always good to hear a job well done. Did you take care of your PCV or do you need help replacing the part?
Thanks, Artie |

I plan on doing the PCV sometime next week along with installing a catch can. I really hate removing the TMIC as it's a total pain to put back on.

I'd say 113-115mph. I could be wrong though.
Thanks, Artie |

I remember Hill telling me that he had seen another 100k 04 STi recently. Fantastic numbers dude. I am glad to see another well taken care of car lay the smack down! I also have a Stage 2 Agile protuned 04 STi. As of this evening it is at 99542 on the odometer.
When I was protuned the car was laying down 347 ft lbs at 4400rpms tapering to 240 at 6700 and 328 Hp at 5400 tapering to 300 at 6700. Just curious though, what is your build date? 03/03 for me Either way man Grats on getting your baby that far along in fine shape. Also what injection system are you using? |
