Default VF34'd 05 WRX 260whp/260wtq?

I just got my car tuned and dyno'd today on a Dynpack. These #s seem kind of low for my setup, PnP'd VF34, STi Pink Injectors, Walboro 255lph fuel pump, Catless Invidia TBE, Catless Invidia DP, Catless Helix Flex Upipe, #' Ebay Inlet, and this was all on 20psi. Though I must say the car pulls pretty hard and the curve is real nice and smooth. My car is holding boost very nicely.

ehhh, dynapak is the one where they take your wheels and tires off? which should result in higher numbers right? i mean it is what it is, but could be seen as low.

I would expect a little bit more. What did your tuner have to say? How much did you gain compared to the base line? What engine management do you have? What type of boost controller? Just so I can have a better understanding of your setup.

Thanks, Artie

He told me that the STi TMIC isn't that great for a 2.0 liter and to get a different top mount. I actually left the charts in my car and I'm headed to a review for one of my classes but when I get back I'll post the exact stats. He had to use an MBC because of the stock re stricter pill and I did an open source tune.

Snape, forgot about that. I don't have the STi Scoop or air splitter. I did just remember that the guy who owns the shop told me his dyno does run lower than other dynos.

so an STi intercooler isnt good for a turbo that comes on 2L sti's Its only not good if your tuner was trying to run too much boost and the turbo was at a bad spot on the compressor map, but most of the time the vf's wont hold boost above 5500 rpm anyway. If you go back you can have him try reducing the boost at high rpm and running more timing.

if he was on a dyno with fans blowing heatsoak shouldnt have been an issue....unless they were running the car with the hood closed and no fans, which in no way simulates driving

Try going with a bigger TMIC. Pick one up used and go at it. But yea, dont expect to be breaking 275-300hp...lucky if you get that much torque.

I would have to disagree on the STi TMIC comment as well, That seems pretty low on power. Here is a car I tuned on a mustang dyno, 285.4whp, 283.2wtq (with an STi TMIC) http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1542610 . I would expect somewhere around the 300's for WHP on a dynapack easy considering how high they read.

Damn, hmmm... wtf is it then? Possible that my parts just aren't meshing well for some reason.

could honestly be quite a few things, I wouldn't be able to tell you much w/o some sort of logs, or more even so a car in front of me to see if there is something mechanical issue.

There are many things to look for, PM me we can discuss more
