Question Why the spine change?

I know it's been awhile.

But why did subiesport change from a glued square spine (like Import Tuner) magazine to a staple spine (like Time magazine)?

I really liked the squared one since I place them on my shelves like a series of novels.

The easy answer is it is easier to print and ship the magazine this way AND it is more environmentally friendly. With a "perfect" binding, that portion of the magazine cannot be recycled. It is cut off the magazine and thrown into the landfill where the glue-soaked paper never really half-lifes into the soil. With a saddle-stitched binding, 100% of the paper can be recycled so there is less waste this way. Also, the magazine lays flat more easily.
