Impreza GC8 what to expect? 95 impreza "L" 20g'd 06 wrx swap

ok, my car is scheduled to be tuned on thrusday (jorge from P&L aka riftswrx) and i was wondering what to expect in terms of numbers(realistic). ive tried searching on here but it seems like i cant really find a setup close to mine. track time estimations are also welcome. theres alot of tuning "gurus" in this subforum and would like to see them chime in and what i can look forward to and your guys are welcome to critizes my setup also.

heres some pics of the setup for ref.

specs/mods:

06 2.5 wrx motor (stock)
cobb AP v2
sbr td06-20g (8cm housing - ported, polished,coated)
perrin "big maf" intake
grimmspeed ewg setup w/ dump tube (wrapped)
tial 38mm wg
DW 850cc injectors
walbro fuel pump
fmic (wrapped hot side)
NGK copper plugs
GM boost solenoid
Koyo aluminum racing radiator

trans:
04 sti 6mt
spec stage 2 6mt clutch kit

the car is fully gutted with one Sparco "EVO" seat. it has no dash with just the dash bar and gauges mounted on it.

let me know what you guys think.. i just want to see people's ideas and expectations when they see such setup. (hp/tq wise and track times)

*i will be back to update this thread once the final result is out! dyno sheet and such...

thanks in advanced

Look at our locations. I KNOW the driver and how the tuner is going to tune this guys car...
He'll trap 115+ but I doubt he'll ET it. (I too owned a 94L sti swapped wagon with a green too)

How much did it weigh after the swap? Was your wagon gutted too? You had 100-200 lbs on him for being a wagon, plus if yours wasnt gutted.....

Your wagon seems like it was either pretty close to 3000-3200 lbs, had a semi conservative tune, or your track conditions and/or altitude/weather produce DA's of 3000-5000 ft.

If your track is a little slower, the tune a little conservative, and not gonna run slicks then those traps/ets will go up....

maybe high 11's on pump 11.3-11.6 on c16. really just depends on how much the car weighs. the dyno numbers are gonna be 20g dyno numbers, the trap however will depend on the weight

based on your results and comments this 20g car should be easily into the 11's on race gas.....

im really wishing i got the ppg's for my wrx instead of the 6 spd...

LOL, no. He'll get mid 12s on pump gas if he's a the worst driver ever. His car is most definitely capable of hitting the 11s on pump gas with the setup he has going.

I have to definatly agree. I can run a mid 12 with only 296whp on Jorges dyno. And if I ever got to properly run my race gas map i know I could get a low 12.

OMGHi2U

wow....i guess i was setting my HP goals pretty low i was just hoping a little over 300awhp and id be happy.

the car is pretty gutted.. but i do have a 6mt and a 2.5. ill go visit the nearest truck stop here in chicago and weigh it with and without me in it. ill come back with numbers.

i guess as long as i hit 12's with this car (mid-high) id be happy. i didnt really build her to be a drag car..i want it to do everything ..(auto-x, track, strip, street etc)

thanks for the input. id like to see people with similar setups on 93oc though. so input away!

I ran 12.1 with 311whp(mustang dyno) in my RS with a weight of 2800lbs. So I would expect your car to run 11s with a good driver.

Dude, if you have ANY shred of driving in you you'll be in the 11's. Trust.

Not yet. I won't let it go for less than what I want.

But yea man with some halfway decent driving you should be able to hit 11s

I think you should put your dash back in. It looks terrible and really how much weight are you saving. If your that hard up to lose weight a diet might suffice.

Other than that Awesome car all the way.

theres alot of reasons why my dash is off. 1st.. im running a full 06 wrx harness and nothing is merged. 2nd ..have you taken apart a dash? do you know how heavy everything is under there including the dash pad heater core, blower etc.? its about 100lbs or maybe more. 3rd.. to each his own. i honestly think it doesnt look horrible..its just that theres no dash... (i guess if you are into nice interior stuff w/ super jdm parts like a red hazard button then maybe..)

lastly, i didnt take the dash out to save weight. i kept it off because of the reasons above (wiring) so yeah...

I say leave the dash out but make up some panels to make it like a race dash.(maybe lay some CF down or something.)

on 93 oct you should be in the 11's... no problem.. and the dash itself from a wrx weighs like 3 lbs. with the airbag removed..
