Default 08 STi- 316.9WHP 372WTQ!!! on straight 93!

Big thanks to Dave Brown and Clark Turner for their time and patience tuning this beast. Fighting with the 08's bi-polar ECU, they managed these incredible numbers. I do not think I have seen (to date) another 08 STi with these numbers, on pump gas, with minimal mods.

With that said, here's the mod list:

COBB AccessPORT V2
GT Spec 08 header and up-pipe- equal length
Perrin Legacy GT Catless downpipe
MSPT custom fabricated EWG with Tial 44mm, and atmospheric dump
Prodrive 3 port boost solenoid
Perrin 08 STi cold air intake

A few pics:

Thanks to my good friend Jesse for the pics

one of the highest on a Dynamics for sure..but what does it baseline..because it shouldn't be that high really...with those mods it would be acceptable like 315whp on a dynojet..but not dynamics..

stock 08 cars make 230 to 239whp on this dyno. There are plots posted. The dyno was setup the same. I know, I helped tune the car. The power is legit, Its safe, Never knocks and it was hot as hell and humid in the dyno room. Typical intake temps where 122F and 150F during tuning. The perrin intake worked well, but something needs to be done about airflow to the filter. Not much cool air in there... All in all a beast of a car and no blown pistons.. We ran it rich and well away from any knock.

Enjoy the car man!

Clark

Makes sense now..this DD is calibrated more like a dynojet..

Still a very good gain regardless..(+75whp)
seems like the EWG didn't do much, as expected and in the past with stock turbo STi's..the turbo's boost just tapers off way too much.(ie too small of a turbo)

Must be some early shift points for that sort of power curve.

Thanks for the comments. The car is such a blast to drive. The power and torque are just so smooth.

where's the fog cover... you broke the car already?
so it is faster than the old one before you sold it?

We took it off in hopes to get some more air flow to the intake. As you can see, there wasn't much opening behind there, so it didn't really help much. We'll take care of that this week with a dremel.

My 04 dyno'ed at 322/360, so it's just about the same.

it's right on with calibration. 230-240 whp puts the powertrain loss right in the 17-20% area

You'd think that, but compare that to my VF48 with the stock internal wastegate.

That is revving to 7,000 rpms too, not 6,100.

Right, but not on calibration with most DD's is all I mean. Most sti(including older models) have been 200-205whp on DD. Whether that's a fair assesment or not is another issue, but its the truth.

Yeah I know your graph..I wanted Jorge to tune my car on stock turbo..but I'm not gonna waste any more money on re-mapping/modding stock turbo. If I decide to fully keep the car I'm gonna do drop-in pistons and 35R
