Default TurboXS Tuned Stock 2.0ltr FPgreen + Meth

Got my car tuned 2 weeks ago by Jermaine at TurboXS. It put down awesome numbers on a stock block 2.0ltr. On pump 93oct car put down 361whp/ 325wtq at 22psi. We didn't mess around with pump gas too much because I am going to be running meth pretty much all of the time anyways. Meth numbers were 390whp/365wtq at around 26psi. The car hit max of 395whp. I had a coolant leak on the coolant return line, so we left it as is. I really think this setup is very nice. Its not too laggy and when it hits boost it rolls out, its just nasty! I plan on leaving the car like this for awhile, maybe in the next few months add a fmic, cams, and up the methanol nozzle, but thats about it. Again thanks Jermaine and everyone who stayed around for my tune. Jermaine's the man!

Pump 93: 361whp/325wtq
Meth (Medium nozzle): 390whp/365wtq

Following mods are;

TurboXS Utec
TurboXS TMIC
TurboXS boost control solenoid
TurboXS ShortRam Intake
FPGreen 3in. inlet/ 8cm hotside
Deatcshwerk 850cc inj.
Walboro 255
Aps 3" inlet
Aps Equal Length Header/ aps uppipe
AEM Methanol Kit (running medium nozzle)
Denso Ik22 spark plugs
Perrin Lightweight Crankpulley
Fidanza Lightweight (9lbs) Flywheel
Clutchmaster FX100 clutch
1+2ppg stock 3-5th transmission (soon to be 1+2 straightcut ppg/3+4 helical ppg)
Invidia Downpipe
Borla Hush Catback w/ high flow cat
Crucial Racing Copper Gaskets

Sorry for the crappy focus, my camera had a difficulty focusing on the whole computer screen. In the graph the red line is the 93oct map, and the purple is the methanol map. The methanol brings everything to the left of the graph. I think meth is a must with the bigger turbos. I'm running "PEAK" brand windshield washer fluid from walmart by the way.

nope, just pump and meth. We were running out of time, and everyone was getting tired. Jermaine said on race gas and fmic I should hit 450's.

Yep, this is my daily driver. Its not like Im doggin it everyday, so I think it will hold up for awhile. This is on a dyno-pack dyno.

Ill prolly take it to the track this friday. I'm still contemplating it because I've already gone through one 3rd gear already. The ppg's are already ordered but don't like the idea of towing it home. So thats still up in the air. If I do go I'll post the results.

Great. I'll be hoping to see them.

Even if you don't track it now, you would once you got the PPG 3rd gear, right???

No just the -20 stuff. I had a can of denatured alcohol I was gonna try mess around with aswell, but since I already had the windshield washer fluid in there, we figured might aswell. So, Im saving that for next time with fmic.

Nice numbers! When I had my FP Green tuned by Jermaine, I made almost the same HP as you, but a lot more TQ with my 2.5L. I bet the car is a blast now.

Well last nite was ok.. I was having issues with launching on the new turbo, First two runs I roasted all 4wheels through 3rd, along with the clutch just slipping like crazy so I let off. This is running on decent tires (BFGoodrich KDW) and launching at 5500rpm. I think I let the clutch slip just a tad too slow off the light. A friend of a friend was filming these runs, the videos looked nasty! Just a massive cloud of smoke down the track til I let off. I let the car sit for an hr adjusted my clutch to release way late, then went back out there. Third run I eased it off the lights and then got in her just to see what mph this turbo was capable of, it hit 114mph not too shabby. SO its now fourth and final run...Now that the clutch was catching better and not slipping, I went ahead and lowered the tire pressure to 26psi up front and 24psi in the rear. I launched pretty aggressively but didn't shift hard on the 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th shifts because those gears are still stock. The other thing hurting me is the 9lb flywheel and the clutchmasters clutch slipping. The clutch wasn't rated for my power levels anyways but I went organic to save the gears. I'll have to upgrade to a better flywheel/clutch combo for next yrs track season. Prolly go to something twin disc. I was only taking it to 7k and shifting last nite, my rev limiters set to 7500rpm, So Im sure with flat foot shifting and launch control I can hit low 12.1-12.3 territory. Was having the issues with the launch control not being wired up right, so I didnt get to use it last nite. All in all it was a decent nite, finally broke into the 12s which is something I couldnt do on the vf30. When I get the rest of the ppg gears put in I can shift like a bat outta hell with the flat foot shifting, so thats something to look forward to. This thing moves on the back half!!

Thanks for looking.

Nick what's up man? I met you right before leaving the track, SWP 07 STI...

Great run man! That trap speed is a good indication you should be running bottom 12's or high 11's, maybe next time right?

Anyway my best time was 13.16 @ 105.78, 1.84 60ft. A 12 second trap speed but a 13 second driver I guess

I really hope this setup yields traps much better than 115 when everything is sorted out. VF 39/43 cars are trapping that now. Nonetheless, good setup with a lot of potential. With the ppg gears you'll cut 11.80's no problem.

Hey Steve, I liked your gauge setup on that screen. What was that setup?

STI Mickey; I think the max mph on a perfect run might be around 118mph with meth, this is no sti. I think sti's with the green are netting mid 1teens mph; and Im running meth, so its a wash. Im losing almost .3 tenths on the first half just because of shifting slow, my 1/8 should be around 7.8-7.9 with better shifts, the mph is there. Im hoping to get the tranny put together before the end of the month and maybe get one more drag session in.

the real suby dude; if you look at the original picture the red line is the base run without meth. Thats at 22psi no meth. Meth helps quite a bit spooling this thing.
