Default W & L Subaru in Northumberland, PA.

Bought an Aspen White WRX from them today, and I can't say enough about these guys. I was treated right from the first phone call to me driving off the lot. Nothing but superb service overall. The guy I dealt with was Andy Long, and I highly recommend you call and ask for him if you're interested in a WRX or any other Subaru. He knew what we was talking about, knew about the WRX, and best of all he knew about i-club. I won't say he's an enthusiast, but he's definately interested in the vehicle beyond what is necessary for him to sell the cars. I got a good deal on a great car in the color I wanted with the options I wanted and none that I didn't.

He didn't push warranties at me or any ridiculous fees that I've seen other dealers attempt to charge. He wrote up a little quote on a notepad that included price of vehicle, my trade-in, taxes, tags ($50 or something real low), cost of aftermarket springs already on the car, and that was all. That was it, no dealer prep crap or $300 registration/tags fee.

Overall I am VERY pleased with them. Returned every call I made and answered every question I asked. Andy even threw in a single-din pocket w/door because I told him I'd be putting in my own deck.

I highly recommend these guys if you are anywhere near the central PA area. Hell even if you aren't, it'd probably be worth the trip for the deal you could get. Here's what I got:

2002 WRX white w/ spoiler and security system and aftermarket M2 springs. $23,500. $500 over invoice.

I couldn't be happier.

Hey CWB

Glad to see you got your Suby! Your review doesn't surprise me. While I didn't buy my car from them( I didn't know of them until later), I ran into a guy by the name of Brian Long(from W&L) up in Wellsboro for the SCCA pro-rally last june. We didn't talk long, he was in a hurry to get to some secret spectator spot. Anyway they had a modified WRX there and he took most of his precious time telling me about the car and all. They definitely seemed like a mod-friendly dealership.

BluSuby,

Brian long is how I found out about W & L Subaru. I did a search on here for that dealership and saw that Brian had posted a quote for a base M/T WRX. So I called and Brian was no longer working there, but they got me to his brother, Andy, who is a salesman there and I think the sales manager. He pretty much honored the quote his brother had posted 5 months earlier (+$200) and I bought the car within a week. Very happy with the transaction.

Keep an eye out for my white Suby with pinstripe and give me a wave if you see me, chances are I will have seen you first

Take it easy,

CB

I didn't buy my WRX from W&L, but I wish I would have. I bought a TurboXS muffler from them and had it installed there. I couldn't have been happier. He brought the muffler out made sure its the one I wanted, brought me back to the garage so I could hear it before they finished up everything.

I plan on going back for every TurboXS part I get.

I went back for the rest of the TXS exhaust. Again great service. Contacted them just 4 days before I wanted the parts they got it in and I went down to get it installed. Someone forgot to ship the gasket and bolt kit. No big deal, these things happen from time to time. Came back the following monday and got the job done AND they gave me a check for $25 to cover gas and junk food for the 2 hour 2nd trip. I didn't ask nor expect that.

W&L will take care of you, period.

They also had an STi in the showroom so that made waiting during the install SO much easier.

Time for a TXS uppipe and I picked W&L again. I never have a problem with their service. They even let me borrow a car to go grab lunch and I didn't even ask for that. Unreal service there. Just perfect.

Guys, thanks for the overly kind words. We try to treat all of our customers equal, but quite honestly, we go a bit above and beyond for our performance guys for two basic reasons(and I hope this doesn't come out the wrong way).

1. I have yet to ever not get along with our performance customers. Everyone I have met in the last few years has been cool as hell and I enjoy very much talking with you guys about anything really, not just parts you want to buy.

2. You spend money. Performance customers don't have a problem spending money on their car if they get good service. It's not often we have normal service customers drop $500, $1000, $2000, etc on their car AND leave with a smile. That is greatly appreciated and we will continue to try and better our service in the future.

We are seriously looking into branching off and starting a seperate business in the near future( W&L Motorsports ). Everything will still take place at the dealership with the same Subaru Techs, but the money and paperwork will be done through W&L Motorsports for a few different reasons. It will free things up a bit so we could track the performance only stuff better and also let us purchase more stuff to have on stock. It will also keep SOA from bitching at us so much because we don't sell enough SPT product Not sure if and when it will happen, but I'll let you guys know.

Thanks again for the great words. Since our budget does not yet allow us to do advertising and such, word of mouth advertising is our only hope Hope all of you guys will make the Shootout in Sept.

Rob, I thought for the longest time that your tag must belong to you but never was sure. Now I know! Look for a pm soon.

Still the best place. They'll go out of the way for you. Picked up my UTEC on a saturday, Matt was sure to have the part and bill ready and waiting for the sales people.

Thanks Matt, I can't wait to put the UTEC in. I'm still playing with the darn thing on my desk. I almost don't want to hide it away under the carpet of the WRX Just a week or two of playing with the interface and I should be ready to install.

Just found this thread.

Got my 2011 STi Limited Sedan from Andy Long (one of the owners) also.

Ordered it last year just a few weeks before the Tsunami hit. What would have been 3-4 weeks for the car to arrive turned into about 9. Andy either called or text me what seemed like every other day to keep me informed.

Cost? Well I can't say here. I was directed to Andy thru Ali Ashfar and Ali told me that Andy would take great care of me. Well let me say that I wasted so much time by not just contacting him first. I drove 3+ hours and Andy greeted me like an old friend. We BS'd for a few, then down to business. The whole "order car and do paperwork" bit took less than 10 mins!

When the car came in they followed my every request. The car was there for about a week before I could go and pick it up.
When I got there I found in on the showroom floor, by itself and "blocked" so no one could get near it.
The car was only PDI'd and cleaned. No wax, etc as per my request. It was perfect. Not a nick, chip, blemish any place to be found on it. I guess when I car is put thru as a "special order" it gets the royal treatment from the factory. Now mind you, all the cars at W&L are treated with the best of care.

When it come time for the Gf to get her new car, we are going to Andy and not even bother to go anywhere else.

This reminds me, I need to call Andy and thank him for the B-day card he sent me. He and I need to catch up.

I was also checking to see if there was a thread for W and L. I had bought my impreza from them back in February and 27 days later the engine died. After being in contact with the service department I found out it needed a whole new engine. It had turned out i had no warranty when I thought I did. After getting in contact with Andy I told him my story of what happened and how it was my first car and I didn't want to just scrap it. So after a week of talking about getting me a new car we decided it would be best to get a new from Subaru directly. The bill would of been 5500$, almost as much as I paid for the car. Andy had felt so bad for the situation that he didn't charge me any labor and took a lot of the engine itself. In the end I paid 1200$ for 5500$ worth of work. I couldn't be happier with the result, a brand new engine in my dream car.

I would definitely recommend any to buy a car from them.

Glad to hear that. Andy takes care of people, plain and simple.

Matter of fact, we just bought a 2013 Tribeca from him 2 days ago. Again, could not be happier.

I am sending him a customer for a new STi today also.

I'm guessing that would be skuba. He then recommended Andy to me and I bought an STi from him and I passed the good word onto a friend who just bought a BRZ from him. Andy is great - he will have my business for life.

PS - NJJer/Jerome - hope you are in a better place now man RIP
