Nintendo shows off the new DSi

There is no release date yet for North America, although if the hardware is as import-friendly as the original DS, that may not matter for gamers willing to pay a premium.

Looks pretty cool. Finally added some useful features (i.e. browser & music playback). Not much for the hand held games, but the DS seems to do pretty well for Nintendo.

I dsi quite a bit when playing video games for long periods of time.

I'm waiting for the DS to get cheaper. $130 is a but rich for me. I did however buy a bunch of $20 RPG games for the DS. I'd be ready to go once I get the unit.

I get the unit sooner or later. But let me tell you about these RPG games. They are like collectables. Once they go out-of-print they are very expensive to get. They can get up to $50-80 bucks vs. $20-30 whne they are in print. My wife is a big-time RPG fan. I play a little bit too. She's got a huge collection.

We have a PS1, PS2, Super Nintendo & Sega Genesis. We also bought an extra PS2 and stored it away. In case the one she using breaks.

all they've done is try to keep people from using supercards... It's that, in a new shape, with 2 crappy cameras, nothing more.

beyond that, my iPhone has replaced my DS anyway. It's not as good game wise (it could be if some good developers got on it) but it's smaller, lighter, has a better screen, and is already in my pocket with killer browsing and music.

Is this one WPA-PSK compatible?

I don't use my DS Lite on my home network because it only supports WEP-based security.
