What EM are you running? Generally speaking it won't reset your tune when you reset the ECU.

I don't know what was done to the car before me. I'm starting to think my overboosting problem is due to a tune from previous owner. I'm getting an accessport soon, will i be able to erase and start over with it?

yeah you will, with either a map straight from cobb (download off their website based on your mods). or what you should do is get protuned. what all is done to your car?

If you are running a COBB "Real Time" map, an ECU reset will go back to the Base Map. So, if you are running a different real time map than what your base map is at, then yes an ECU reset WILL affect your tuning.
