Default help needed! tokico blues and a super annoying clanking sound

hey, ok, heres my problem, my car came with tokico blues and h&r springs, car wasnt running good when i got it so they were never really driven on till i got it, but i have a super annoying and rather loud clunk noise everytime i hit a bump. i pulled the coilover off just now, and what im wondering is this, is there supposed to be some sort of rubber bushing on top of the shock where it mounts to the car? if so, would there not being one cause this noise? any other input on what the noise could be coming from? i didnt check to see if it was rubbing before i took it off either, but the spring doesnt appear to have any rub marks, and once the shcok was loose when i shook it and the top hit the mount, it made the same noise, anything will help, thanks

also, it is only the rear passenger side making any noise, and when i removed it, the three bolts that hold it on, were not all even, one had almost a quarter inch more threads showing, could that have to do with it also?

This is probably the cause. Although I wouldn't be surprised if the springs are install incorrectly on the struts. What year car do you have?

oh yeah, one more thing, sorry, just trying to give as much info as possible, once installed, the piston shaft is not centered in the middle of the spring at all, thats what leads me to believe something is possibly bent somewhere
