Talking need new Tires!

Well I need a set if new tires. My Re92 have been ok but a puncture in the sidewall of one of them killed it. Too much sliding I guess. Anyways all four tires are rather worn after 16000 miles, almost down to the wear bars.

So I need some suggestions.

These new tires will be ones that I use all summer long, and I am wondering how performace summer tires will handle these last two months of winter that we will have. Like Kumhos or BFgoodrich...

I don't think I will need a set of winter tires as of yet as I will save money and buy some next winter.

Any ideas people?

I'm going to use an ultra-hp all-season tire for "summer", since I can count on driving on some snow, unless I only leave them on for two months. I have no direct experience, but most seem to feel that the pure performance tires are truly scary on snow or ice. I'm looking at Dunlop 5000s or Yokohama dbs AV.

I have an idea.....oh wait...no I don't.

Any performance tires might be hairy in spots, but I think this is all going to melt pretty quickly, so you might be OK.

Offer Kris something for his tires. He's broke and needs cash. I'm sure he'll give you a good deal.

He also accepts special favors. Hurry up and get tires so we can use you in the Artic Valley video. Actually, RE92s would probably be better then the S0-2 in the snow.

I think I might go with a high performace all season... dunno which one though...

Yeah SO2's would be rather crappy for a snowy ascent.

Nokian makes some good all weather studless tires. my friend has them on his audi and they handle pretty good in the summer. we even got him to burn rubber with them

I have a set of almost brand new (~500 miles?) RE-92s that I would gladly sell you for $200 if Kris is not interested.

Eric,

You are such a nice guy....giving your tires away.

Rawcode,

Yeah I thought you meant $50 for all four, so that was why I seemed a little insulted. I will let you know on the tires if you are still interested in them.
