Default my car makes a weird humming sound when i accelerate

I have a bone stock 04 wrx and it makes an odd humming sound when i accelerate above 45 mph. the sound kinda sounds like a bad hub but im really not sure... the sound comes from right up around where the turbo is mounted.. can anyone help me diagnose this sound?

Is it pretty high pitched? I have that, most obvious around 60 mph with light acceleration, can't figure it out.

If i have four or five people in my car and I accelerate in lower revs in higher gears, I get a subtle Whummm Whummmm noise coming from the driveline. it's pretty lowly pitched and has about a second between each whum, don't know what this is.

it's your differentials--- don't worry about it..normal- they're adjusting to the surface of the road--- don't forget it's made for dirt and it's awd---when your going faster wind noise over rides it. Slower, they don't whine.

I don't know about that, I have a customer's car, it's an 02 2.0 and it had the same humming sound, for about 100miles. Ended up grenading inside the diff. I'd take it to a shop and have them give it an earful.

Thats just differential ring and pinion whine, its perfectly fine and normal, I've got the same thing on my 04 wrx. Talked to my dad (he's been a certified subaru tech for 25 years) and he told me not to worry about it its pretty common.
