Default I have decided to move to AZ

I have decided to move to Flagstaff, AZ. I am leaving my company and will be searching for work. I am not quitting until the end of this summer so that gives me time to save money and try and locate a job. Any advice you guys can offer would be great. I currently manage a cell phone store and have been in retail my whole life. I am 23, but will be 24 when I arrive in Arizona. I look forward to meeting everyone and If you have suggestions please post away.

Todd

Don't do it!!!

AZ is a flea pit of dust and heat.
The people suck
No-one can drive
If it wasn't for the Subie crowd the average IQ would be 85.
(With them it's 80 )

Flagstaff is OK though I guess.
Prescott Sedona and Flagstaff are some of the nicest places I've been, now that I think of it.

This forum is indicative of life in AZ - nothing but dust and tumbleweeds for 500 miles then a mass of people and opinions, then nothing for another 500 miles.

I don't know who H1 is hanging with cause AZ is awesome. I have a house in Scottsdale and Flagstaff and both towns are great. The only thing about Flagstaff is you have a lot of tree huggers and hippies. If you're looking for work in the cell phone buisness Email me you're resume because my friend is the Southwest regional manager for Verizon..

DAVE! How the hell are ya'?

Stop by for a pint and a bad game of pool some time, ya' silly brit.

Well, if I had a house in Flag and in Scottsdale I'd probably feel better about the heat. But, I think Dave was pretty close with that tumbleweed comment. Of course, I've been here 20 years and I'm about ready for a vacation. I think Dave only lasted 1 summer. I guess he missed seeing rain.

He said he was moving to Flagstaff, and flag is far from a pit of dust and heat. Flag is awesome, i have been here 3 years now and love it. snow in the winter and the summers never get over 90 deg. summers are perfect. its at 7000 feet so it is always cool and you got the 12,000 foot peaks to look at everyday, plus not to mention the endless amounts of windy paved and dirt roads to race around on. When you get in to town let me know, i'll show you all the good places to go

Sounds great. Flag is almost a perfect clone to the town I grew up in. I can't wait to get down there. The latest I will move will be sept., but I may get out of here sooner. I have a freind that goes to the university. I look forward to meeting all you SW nuts soon.

Love this town.. Flag has some of the best mtn biking in AZ... Jobs.... well, good luck.. I think Flag has some of the highest housing expenses relative to income... Don't be deterred - its a great place.. Jay
