PUMPGAS 18G 2.0L Hi everyone I finally got a chance to take the car to the track tonight to see how it would do,...It was busy for a tuesday night so I only got a few runs. ![]() LEFT lane 2002 Wrx 101,000 miles. No jack or spare but had some tools and gas cans so probably close to stock curb weight. Mods,.. Cobb intake Gimmick Inlet and after MAF TD05h-18G 7cm2 PnP/Jet Hot Coated CSS FMIC PnP TB, Intake Grimmspeed Coated TGV Deletes PnP Intake and PnP/coated TB 8mm Grimmspeed Phenolic Spacers AEM Injection Spraying 50/50 Alchy+H2O* Walbro DW 750 Inj. Perrin El’s (wrapped) Grimmspeed Uppipe (wrapped) with Tial 38mm EWG Perrin Style EBCS Invidia Bellmouth DP wrapped Buschur Racing 3in CBE *= not currently in use,… This was done on a conservative Jorge tune. We had some electrical issues (Which I found was a bad main ground cable) and my stock BPV was releasing pressure past 20/21psi(soon to be replaced). ![]() The car took a bit of getting used to but trapped 111 every time. I will be back soon with a more aggressive tune and running Meth or C16,.... ![]()

Nice. What brand is your 18g? I know you ran some 12.xx passes on the stock turbo, so what's your impression of/feeling towards the new setup?

Great run man!! It's crazy your 18G set up made the EXACT same numbers as mine, but on a different dyno
![]() Seems like a pretty high trap speed for a 12.5. I'd think a few more runs you might have dipped in the low 12's for sure ![]() |

oh yeah also to note, I had issues with the Perrin EBCS holding boost on my car, Hallman Pro fixed it right up, just another area to possibly look into after the BPV is sorted out

Very nice. I've been anticipating your build for awhile. Now get that BPV fixed, tune it for the alcohol injection, and see if you can hit an 11.

Crazy like a fox...
This, along with a few other builds, give me hope for my evo3 16g setup. I've got everything I need except enough money to come up for the tune; (I had to quit my job when I went back to school this semester) but rest assured, I'll be seeing you sometime within the next few months, Jorge. And my bugeye's only got 73K (yeah, I realize that's not a whole lot better...)Last edited by jason miller; 10-21-2008 at 08:45 PM. |

Man, numbers are decieving. I put down nearly the same dyno numbers. I have not run yet, but man am I hoping I could run these times! My car "should" be lighter and with shorter gears that could help me a lot.
You give me hope my son... |
