Default 1.8 to 2.2 IACV Question

My 96 Brighton is getting a 97 2.2 There appears to be a difference in the intake manifolds in that the IACV looks to be on the intake itself on the donor 97 motor and a a part of the throttle body on the 96 car. I have swapped the wiring harness from the 96 motor to the 97, and the 96 plug for the IACV looks as if it will attach to the 97 with no problems. I just wanted to make sure that this really is the IACV on both cars. Here are the pics.

97 IACV: attaches to intake manifold

96 TB ass'y with integrated IACV

My plan is to keep the 97 tb and IACV on the donor 97 motor and plug in the transfered 96 harness.

I did this same thing. It works okay, though it does seem to hunt for idle at times. That may or may not happen with yours.
