That's the most creative imagery of being beaten I've ever heard. Priceless.

I dont have an oil pressure gauge so I have no idea how much pressure its making
hey al, how did they smooth the oil passages out? extrude hone the block?

So you really do not need that much to rev that high... just a cosworth oil pump and a few minor things? also, explain the pickup setup... wet sump?

The pick up set up and oil pan are off the shelf cosworth oil pumps - as for the honing and porting in oil chambers and passages it was all done to the extent possible to smooth out oil flow

Congradulations al on your 10'sec pass. Team work makes dreamwork. I now work over here at the home of the fastest 08 STI daily driven. I am very happy for Al's achievement, I helped Al a tiny bit with the motor and I am happy that something I touched has done great things. Congrats to Al and the team over at ICS.

Ah ok, so you did hone the block... thats pretty cool, i didnt know you could do that. Oil probably cycles through that motor pretty fast. Where did you buy the crank scraper?

Also, to run a 9k rpm rev limit, you could basically just throw a cosworth oil pump on a built bottom end and you are almost good to go?

Also, the stock sti valvetrain will support what rpm with a good set of cams?

Well the Subaru will be back up and on line next week

New FP HTA86 turbo - just made 724 whp on Buschur's Dyno on an Evo - maybe it will get me to 640 whp or so - we'll see

Also new 1200 injectors and fuel system

It turns out my old regular Gt35 was faling apart - being overspun and the turbine wheel falling apart

Al

PS - We have a very promising STI in the garage which has a full cosworth engine and heads, Buschur FS635 turbo and AEM - that car cracked 500 whp and maxed the 850's real fast - we are putting 1,000's and rails in that now
